Close registration for a while!

I have seen this kind of crap before, on other forums. The people involved got to be total losers to waste time doing crap that would get them banned.

Sorry to be blunt but stop being such fucking crybabies! They are merely boring pieces of shite who have nothing better to do, I'm sure the mods are doing a good job of getting rid of these bastards, in the mean time whinging about them being oh so bloody horrible is just fueling their Internet ego.

I'm with Melancholy Rockit and Aeris Gainsborough: They aren't gonna stop. Closing registration would be the killer of FFF. I don't want to see these forums die down. If we close the registration, we'll be hiding behind something and they'll know they scared us. I wasn't here for the main part of the raid, but I have seen so many bannings and such, and I don't think it's gonna die down immediantly. For whatever reason, they really hate us.

Rockit's idea is pretty good, maybe we need a new forum for the new members until the admins/g-mods/mods can check them out. But the best thing, I think, is to keep at least a few good posts going, and not let the forums slow down till it can't be started again. If the good members stop posting, the site will have nothing but crappy new things coming in.

We've sent someone over to try and negotiate some peace, so hopefully, we'll see a change soon enough ... it depends on what happens. In fact, I'm going to PM our ambassador and ask them how it's going.

Eh? Calm down, buddy.

Anyway, I have many feelings about this. While I think it might be a good idea, that doesn't mean they won't continue raiding us again once we open it back up. So do we close it again if they continue doing that? So, I really don't know...

But on the bright side, if we do lock registration, we'll have peace for awhile. See, either way, they won't leave us alone until they get bored. There's really nothing we can do but just sit tight and be...well, raided. >.<

But anyway, AG...the mods might like the idea, so they might consider it. That'll be fine too. I'm just saying all the possibilities here. ;)

Sorry, really fucking bad day, worst day since yesterday.

Not sure if Locking registration will work, if they have it planned they probably signed up accounts a while ago, and are letting them sleep and will active them when they attack again.

It might stop more accounts, maybe not lock registration, let it be admin approved.
 
Well, I have a suggestion.. At my old forums I used to go to, when you signed up, you had to get the confirmation e-mail, and then you had to wait like 5-7 days for admin approval of your account... Maybe that'll work?

It wouldn't be such a bad a idea at all and it woud help admins to take control of registrations.

So, let's see what they think about it.

Thats not a bad idea, at least it gives certain people a chance to register, and for us to check them out before they can post, it would save a lot of trouble not having to worry when no mods are around in case this keeps happening again

besides, it isn't just this forum, either. Firefly1122 also tried to join the EoFF forums and was promptly banned. Pity. I was going to send him a link that would instantly destroy his computer, starting with C:. *sigh* oh well. next time.
 
You won't have a problem with the 'faggots' at a school. Nationwide, a program has been put into place that allow students access to only educational material. That means forums aren't accessible from school. I've tried to get on here once from school, but that bloody Novell wouldn't let me. Unless they're all hackers to get around the school security system, they can't get on here from school.
 
No schools block off everything :dry: my school blocked off FFF, ACF, and FFVIIcitadel 2 days after i used them on the schools pc :dry:
 
I meant like, a huge group of people from a school teamed up at home and just started spamming here because they have nothing better to do with their lives.

EDIT: Yeah, me and my friend found out that our old schools computers could go to a few porn sites we found on google.. Along with bum fighting sites and stuff like that. It was funny when the teacher came and freaked out.
 
That porn shit ain't funny. The entire school pays for what you did.:dry: Not funny. I can talk, because some jackass kids at my school did the same thing. Now ALL image engines are blocked. And I mean ALL.

And unless they've got a huge geek convention or multiple bewolf clusters or what not, the chances of what you're saying could happen Avin, are remote in the least. This was not an organized forum war, it was a forum riot. People join in just for the shits and giggles of it, but don't know what's going on.
 
It's ok, :) I just get riled up sometimes.

And yeah, just ban the IP address. That way, we'll have no problem with multiple accounts.
