<Chrono Trigger: A Past To Remember>

Luca was just about to engage Christiane in conversation, as her accent intrigued him. But he was rudely interrupted by a war horse charging its way down the path towards Zenan Bridge. On its back, holding on for dear life it seemed, was a purple-haired young man. Giving chase was a mud-covered soldier and two of his lackeys. It was a curious scene.

However, Luca and Christiane found themselves at Guardia castle now, and made their way to the proper tower. General Glenn was just dismissing a behemoth of a man, and a curiously dressed young woman.

"So, TO PORRE, NOW."

Luca winced and stuck his pinky finger in his right ear, wiggling it around a bit to clear out the ringing. I wonder if he's always this loud. Luca approached the general and addressed him. "Excuse me, general. This young lady and I were interested in joining the military forces." Luca glanced to the two people Glenn had just dismissed. "Should we... uh... follow them to Porre as well?"

OOC: Question. Brumak is going to hang around Emilia as a defacto guardian. Make a short profile? On a side note, like my name of choice for him? Rather fitting for his intended size XD (Gears of War reference for those who don't know).

What!? Enlist? Are you out of your mi...umph!

Brumak could see the little girl was about to explode like a littel firecracker and that the man seems determined and ignorant of anything she would say. Through his life, Brumak has learned that an angered woman is truly scary, regardless of the size and with a quick hand, wrapped an arm around Emilia and the other over her mouth, which covered her head.

Ehehehe... Thank you sir. We will fight hard.

Emilia continued to struggle before giving up completely. She knew her limits. Brumak's arm was so big, she doubt even a soldier with a sword could cut through it with a single swing, never mind her breaking free with her arms. Brumak lifted her off her feet, still holding her in a bear hug and was about to walk out when two others walked in for signing up.

"Should we... uh... follow them to Porre as well?"

He thought for a bit and decided to wait for what Glenn will say. After all, as dominating as he is, arriving with a group will be much more effective than him going into the fray by himself. Seeing as though there is no reason for Glenn to reject them as he himself had said they need numbers and that Porre was under attack, Brumak walked up to the duo, clearly towering them and offered one of his giant hand. The other still smothering Emilia

Brumak. Brumak Theros. Mercenary. Please ta meet ya. This is Miss Emilia Mariella, medical officer from Ca...Cada.... umm... where was it again missy?

Still covered with an arm, a small and muffled voice came out.

Caduceus, Esperia. I demand to be released Mr Brumak! I am on a diplomatic mission and....

But all Emilia said was chopped up. Besides Brumak, everyone else heard something along the lines of
...aduceus, Esperia. I ..and to ..e relea... Mr ..umak! I ..m on ....lomat.. ...ission and....

Forest above Porre
-the one that Glenn stayed in

"Dammit!" shouted the General leading the wagon through the forest. The sky was getting darker and an orange light could be seen over the tops of the trees towards the direction of Porre. Never sat in the wagon rocking slowly.

BAAAAARRRUUUUUUMMMMMMM!!!! Went a lound noise nearby. "What was that?" asked Never in suprise.

The soldier he had spoken to earlier had replied "Dont worry about it..."

Never: "But what if it's an enemy?"

"You'll be fine." explained the soldier. " alot of animals lurk about around these woods..."

"Is it dangerous?" asked Never looking out into the dark woods.

"Nah," said the soldier. "Most of them are harmless compared to monsters."

There was a brief moment of silence."Oh..." said Never. "Well, then whats your name?"

"Oh!" said the soldier a little caught off guard. "My names Kalier."

He took off his helmet so that Never could see his face clearly. He had short blonde hair and dark shiney eyes. BOOM! Explosions could be heard coming from nearby. "This is it!" shouted the general. "Men arm yourselves."

Porre

The soldiers all stood ihn the wagon. Never could see clearly now that they were out of the forest. There was a large town with small lights shining. Building were burning which gave off an orange glow in the afternoon sky. Beasts could be seen running after women and children trying to escape the city. Never's adrenaline kicked in. He was ready for battle.

"A small kid like you shouldn't be fighting in a battle like this." said Kalier.

"Oh it's okay," said Never with a smile. "I've fought in about five of these already. All we need to do is hit the monsters with our weapons right? No big deal!"

Kalier looked at Never with a stern but warm smile. Just then as they reached the city all the soldiers had jumped from the wagon to join the fight. The Porre army looked tired and worn out.

Never just ran forward into battle, his Ever sword ready to feast on blood and bone. A beast went headed for him. With one mights swing he cleaved it in two. An explosion came from a building to his right, the debris crushing a few citizens trying to escape. "Stay in the hood Cheep." said Never.

The mouse obeyed. Everywhere he turned soldiers were fighting, but this time Never noticed something different, the soldiers were fighting people in blue robes! Never spotted Kaleir in a feirce fight with a blue hooded figure. Never rushed and swung his sword just as a lightening bolt was begining to form.

BOOM! more explosions. "It's coming from the port!" shouted Kalier.

Never rushed in that direction, the support soldiers seemed to be doing their job. A professional swordfight was being held at the well as Never ran past toward the docks. Zap! a lightening bolt was headed his way. Never used the sword as a bat and swung leading it in the other direction. Just then a pack of wild looking creatures came flying toward Never.

He could not handle them alone. They all dove towards him. Never threw his sword at them like a large suriken and hit a few. The rest dodged and dove for him. Never whistled and the Ever sword responded, zooming right back to his hand. The gargoyle-like creatures emitted a gray gas from ther mouths. Never slashed a few ofthem again with his sword.

Just then A lightening bolt him Never square in the back. It felt like an army of needles began to sink themselves deep beneath his skin. Never tried to shake off the shock, but his legs weren't moving much. "DAMMIT!" Never moaned under his breath.
"Cheep! go get help! Anyone who has a remedy! I can't move!" Never's body began to paralyze slowly as his arms gave out.

The mouse began to run back from where they had come seeking help from any soldier who would listen. Gesturing for a cure for paralysis.

All around him the battle continued. Enemies were lurking everywhere and Never was just a standing target...

((OOC: Drats! There's no Fiona's Forest at this time. Read the first post of the OOC again. In this time period, where the story follows the original game before it's events, the forest is non-existent. The same with Lucca's House. OliverSKX, do make the appropriate changes, though I'm pleased you do know about Robo there ))

Brumak. Brumak Theros. Mercenary. Please ta meet ya.This is Miss Emilia Mariella, medical officer from Ca...Cada.... umm... where was it again missy?

Luca chuckled at the mismatched pair; he was a behemoth, she was on the slender side.

Caduceus, Esperia. I demand to be released Mr Brumak! I am on a diplomatic mission and....

Luca had never heard of either. He waited for her to finish her thought for a moment, but when it became clear she was just going to leave the sentence dangling, Luca introduced himself and Christiane. "Hi there. I'm Luca Dhamon, and this is Christiane Freiherr. I'm from Truce, and Christiane... well, I don't know where she's from, exactly. But we're heading to Porre now, I suppose. Unless his Esteemed Generalship-" Luca inclined his head in Glenn's direction. "-tells us otherwise. You're more than welcome to join us."

Christiane saw the behemoth of the man, grabbing a smaller female woman. Both of introduced themselves. Despite not clearly hearing what the young woman said, she understood what she meant, however, like Luca, she had never heard of them before. She remained quiet through the debate, hoping to get to the battle soon.

OOC: ill delete this later, but please order Cassino and Leader to Porre. Also, if it is not too much for you, can either Valkyrur or Cassino take control of rudimentary movements for both characters such as moving from location to location. During battles, just send them off to the side and regroup afterwards. Thanks.

((OOC: All right then. I shall have everyone get to Porre right now. The movements needn’t be that intricate after all. Apologies though, for the bit of god-modding. The action at Porre’s already begun, and there is little time to waste.

Also, by your next post, be at Porre. You could do a brief segment on the journey there, but do not touch on it too much. The enemies in Porre are now reduced to a handful, scattered around the city. Seek them out, and eliminate all))

Guardia Castle

General Glenn sighed, rubbing his temples. “WHAT AN INFLUX, ALL THESE, SO SUDDENLY?” Resting his gaze on his medium helmet some distance away from him on the floor, he wrinkled his nose at the scent of the fresh air outside. “Tsk. I SHALL NOT REPEAT MYSELF AGAIN. GO TO PORRE NOW!” Pointing at the door, he literally shouted his lungs out at the newcomers.

“YOU THERE.” He then pointed to a Knight. “DIRECT THEM THERE, AND SEE TO IT THEY HELP AND NOT END UP KILLING OUR OWN!”

The four stood about unnaturally. For a moment, the atmosphere tensed, but Glenn chased them out nonetheless. The appointed Knight led them out, and they followed, possibly pleased to be out of this loud brute. “He’s always like this.” The knight complained under his breath, when out of earshot. Shaking his head, he set to leading the group to Porre, where the action was heating up.

~ Event ~

And so, more reinforcements are sent to Porre. Those in the group would do well to be there as soon as possible. Porre is still under siege, though the main attacking force has now been eliminated. The remaining opposing forces are scattered around the city. Find them and eliminate them.

Reward for the efforts awaits.

Porre- Within the City

The dark warrior glanced around him. Corpses littered the place, and the scent of death hung about. Even the salty waters around the port were dyed red with the blood of monsters and humans alike. Shaking his head, the scythe-wielding warrior turned away, moving deeper into the city.

The incoming horde has now been taken care of. All’s left was to deal with those that has infiltrated the city. The soldiers within the city were not doing as well as those at the port- thank to him. Regardless, putting the probable fact aside, he approached a group of monster, scythe raised.

Caught by surprise, they were downed with little resistance. “You’ll dread the day you come…” He began, dashing on to yet another group of monsters and human mages. “… Face to face with the Reaper himself!”

Dark energies manifested, surrounding the blade of his scythe. Slashing it at the unfortunate group, they suffered the full brunt of the attack from the back, as well as the attack of the Porre army from the front. The soldiers cheered, but the ‘Reaper’ knew his job was far from complete.

From his peripheral vision, he noticed a young kid dressed in purple. However, what was more eye catching was the fact he stood unmoving. ’Hm, frozen in fear, maybe?’ He wondered, setting forth for the boy. Although his dressing was different from the armies of Porre, and although he wielded a weapon, the ‘Reaper’ could sense that he was no enemy.
Running to his side, the warrior cut down an approaching imp. “Get moving, kid!” He muttered in his low, emotionless tone. Kicking the boy forward, he cut down yet another monster that promptly struck. What he had wanted to do was to get Never moving, but unwittingly, he had kicked him a little too hard, forcing him to the ground.

Porre- Within the City

Never lay on the ground, struggling to see who had kicked him. He had now lost control of his neck. Cheep the mouse had come back to Never with a small green bottle tied to its neck. "In my mouth Cheep." said Never.

The mouse opened the top and let the green liquid empty into his mouth. Never began to move again. "Ugh!" said Never in disgust at the taste of the liquid.

"So you can move." Said a low, cold tone.

Never looked at the man as Cheep climbed inside his hood once more. The man was much taller than him and carried a scythe stained of blood. His dark appearance was what Never picture a grim reaper would look like. Never took up his sword, ready to slay.

"Put that thing away." said the man in his emotionless tone as his eyes peered at Never.

"Oh! Sorry!" said Never shocked that this man wasn't his enemy. "My names Never! I'm here to help with the war...but it looks like everythings died down a little."

The 'Reaper' just stared back at him in no response. "You're purple..." muttered the warrior completely ignoring Never.

Never just stood there looking around. "So whats the battle plan?" he asked. "Where's the enemy?"

The 'Reaper' walked away in a different direction. "Hey!" said Never annoyed "I was talking to you!"

The warrior kept walking away and Never followed. "HELLO?!" said Never in frustration."Are you even listeni-"

"We've reduced them to a smaller size. Now all we have to do is seek them out one by oune and destroy." The 'Reaper' stated in a rough, annoyed tone.

"Mind if I search with you?" Never asked, but the dark warrior went running in the direction of a fierce battle happening up ahead.

Never decided to search throughout the town for any enemies he could find...

Porre-City

As civillians, (mainly women and children) continued running towards the outskirts of the city, Christiane casually walked into the city, surprisingly unfazed by the fact that the city was burning. The trek, although uneventful, was now going to get hot as she and her new allies are sent to mop up the monsters in the city itself.

Two Imps saw the monk walking across the city. Using the roof of a nearby house as cover, they attempted to jump down and attack Christiane from above. Christiane however, knew that there would be an ambush in a place like Porre. The split second the imps tried to lunge at Christiane, she countered with a roundhouse kick to the first imp's head, the second imp charged at Christiane and tried to punch her, but Christiane ducked at swept her leg across the imp's leg, tripping the beast up and making it fall down, knocked out when the imp hit it's head. "Looks like the monsters overextended themselves." She thought before moving on to the next battle.

Guardia Forest

There was no use in arguing and flailing against the big man. It was hopeless. The general was even more thickheaded than the guard and holding such a high position, Emilia doubt that she could get another way to meet the king. Right now, she sat on the left shoulder of Brumak as the big man travelled towards Porre. Smoke drifted high in the distance, meaning she had plenty of work set up for her.

Porre

By the time the quad had entered the city, it seems that most of the monsters had been slain. There were pockets of resistance remaining, but that was about it. Still sitting on Brumak's shoulder, Emilia got a slight shock seeing small imps attacking Christiane. Brumak had his own issues as a haggle of Goblins emerged from the side streets and charged at the hulking man. With a mighty sweep, half of the group got descimated. Not so keen on fighting, Emilia looked for anyone that needed help when rapid fluttering of wings caught her attention. Four faeries went into a steep nose dive at the giant man but Brumak was too busy smashing up the green monsters. Gritting her teeth, Emilia drew out Shiro and took aim. Three resounding booms echoed through the town so unfamiliar with firearms. All three bullets took the monsters straight in the chest. instantlying downing them. Silence indicated that Brumak had delt with his enemies.

Hey, missy. What in God's name wazzat? Are you a magician? I didn't even see what you did to those buggers!

No. This is just a self defense weapon from my home country. Let's move further deeper in. The faster we deal with this, the quicker i can tend to the wounded.

Looking over towards Christiane and Lucas, she waved them to follow as Brumak took point.

I've decided to put Never's speech in Purple to make it easier...Others talking will be GREEN!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Porre- The Port

Swoosh! went the Ever Sword as it sliced through yet another corpse. Never was tired of fighting nothing but corpses for the past thirty minutes. One after another corpses began to rise again. They dragged slowly and crept towards him. "Who the hell keeps summoning all these?!" shouted Never in fustration.

He drew his sword again and began hacking them one by one. Finally Never got a glimpse of a figure on a rooftop concentrating with it's eyes shut. So thats the Necromancer... Never thought. He then threw his sword towards the figure with monstrous strength and held on as his arm jerked up with the sword. Once he could see the necromancer he sliced it in two...But then he fell on the rooftop and tumbled, falling three stories to the ground.

"Ouch" he mumbled in pain.

The soldier he met before had come to his aid. "Are you okay?" asked Kalier.

Never got up in pain. "Nah, I'm fine." he said. "I've been through worse-"

BOOM! A female beast resembling a human bursted through the wall of the building above. Quick on his toes, Never jumped out of the way in time to avoid the falling debris. The Beast woman lunged at Never and sratched him in the chest with her claws. Never suprised in this attack felt her razor sharp claws cut into his skin. Kalier the soldier had lunged at the beast woman with his sword, but she was quicker. The beast slashed the soldiers helmet off and then in a quick swipe struck the soldier in the neck cutting his head clean off.

Never couldn't scream as he watched the friendly soldier sucumb to his demise. The gash in his chest was deep. The beastlike woman stared at him again and then came running towards him. Never, on the ground bleeding quickly focused on the Ever sword.

In a flash, the man in black appeared blocking her with his Scythe. "Are you stupid?" he said in a calm tone. "You should run."

Never seeing this bared his teeth in anger and focused on the sword more. NEVER EVER! In his mind made contact and his was ripped in two beings.

"What the?" the Reaper said as he took a swing at the cat like beastwoman.

The two beings were exact copies of Never, the light one Nanem, the dark one Zanagrim. The light being was nothing but white, while the dark nothing but dark. "It seems that We've been hurt Zanagrim." said Nanem in a questioning tone.

"Rip her to shreds." grunted Zanagrim.

The two lunged at the cat beast faster than the speed of light. The cat woman had been sliced in two. BOOM! Another explosion in the distance. "Should we kill this one too?" asked Nanem pointing at the 'Reaper'.

"Brother, look. We are in a battle, there are much more souls to crush and blood to shed than just one man." replied Zanagrim. "Lets kill it all."

Cheep the mouse had crept on the 'Reapers shoulder during this time and watched. Never had finally went back to his original form in the flash of a white light. His wounds were gone. His tears were streaking down. Falling for Kalier, the only friend he had made in this world...

Luca was impressed by how quickly and efficiently Emilia had dealt with the attacking entities. He mentally noted that despite her appearance, she was not one to be taken lightly. Seeing her beckon for himself and Christiane to follow, he tagged along closely, drawing his smith's hammer to be armed and ready, should anything go awry.

((OOC: :gonk: Short, but it gets us in Porre.))

((OOC: So, it would seem that somehow, I managed to get on the computer. However, I’m not expecting it to be permanent, honestly. Nevertheless, I’ll seize the opportunity to put up a continuation while my time lasts. ))

Guardia Castle

General Glenn stomped up to the table. It had already been some time since he had dispatched the latest recruits to Porre. Having thought the amount sent to be sufficient, he set down to organizing the latest recruits that appeared. These people stood neatly in formation. The tension amongst them was obvious, from both their behavior and expressions.

However, all these meant nothing to Glenn. For him, there was no need to ease them up. Yet, he knew full well that a worried soldier was one of the strongest weapons an enemy could make use of.

“EASE UP, KIDS.”

Straightening up, the recruits stood at attention.

“DAMN. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ME? RELAX!”

Nothing really changed. The recruits stared back, their eyes radiating their nervousness. Sighing, he sits back down on his chair. “WE ALL HAVE A COMMON OBJECTIVE, YES?”

The recruits remained silent. “YES!” A knight shouted, raising his arms to lead the group. Following his lead, the recruits all followed his cry.

“WE ALL WANT TO DEFEND OUR COUNTRY, YES?”

“YES!”

“WE ARE ALL GOING TO SURVIVE THIS BATTLE, YES?”

“YES!”

“THEN RELAX, YOU DUMMIES!”

The particularly tense atmosphere that returned made General Glenn sigh once again.

Porre - Port

The ‘Reaper’ stared back in utter surprise. Right before him, this strange person had just split himself into two powerful entities. These two beings crushed the enemy before them, and now, as they merge back into the person known as ‘Never’, he couldn’t help but notice that his wounds were all gone.

“What the…”

As he muttered that, he noticed an enemy approach him from behind- that, and the mouse on his shoulders. Swinging his scythe backwards, he cut the blade deep into the unlucky monster behind him. “Hey you.” He shouted to Never. “Stop crying and get real! We’re in battle!”

Porre – Mayor’s House

Now, over at the Mayor’s house, he and his family had already known the situation. Rejoicing over the imminent victory, the family was cheering the soldiers on- albeit in the safety of their humble abode. The Mayor, however, had other matters to deal with. Reinforcements, from his knowledge, were set to arrive.

And naturally, if they do come, it would be his job to assemble them.

Just then, a primal battle cry could be heard. This battle cry left the Mayor terribly shaken. On a more casual thought, it could have been dismissed as an ordinary part of the battle that was still ongoing outside. Except, this sounded like it was particularly close to the Mayor’s House.

“Great…” He muttered, suddenly realizing how dangerous it was to leave.

--

Meanwhile, right outside the house, it was as the Mayor had thought. A hulking behemoth of an imp was rampaging. This was supposedly an ordinary imp that had been fed some kind of concoction. It ended up making the imp grow so large that it stood taller than an average man. While it also became fatter, the harsh training regiment that Ozzie had put it through made it fitter- and stronger.

As such, the soldiers that faced it were having a tough time. “None shall stop my path!” The imp shouted, as if challenging the soldiers. Raising its iron club, it brought it down on the head of an unfortunate soldier.

~ Event ~

The Mayor’s in trouble! Save him as quickly as you can!

Additional Rewards await!

OOC: Perfect. Makes a match for Brumak. I just realised, but i think i had Emilia treat Brumak like a war horse/carriage.

Brumak took point for the group. There was no point in sneaking around. Best thing to do is to charge straight in, which his size could help a bit. Sima was held ready in both spade hands while his quarry, Ms Emilia, sat comfortably on his shoulder still. With a hand above her eyes, Emilia scanned for the wounded. She was a medic first, so wounded is piority. From the look of things, it seem as though the soldiers have fought off the monster attack. There were muted cries of victory and joy for the human forces, but there was still a threat. Brumak had fought with enough foes to know that the loud and barbaric cries of this one belonged to something relatively big. His expectations was not let down as he rounded the corner and set his eyes on the biggest imp he has ever saw. His first image was of the beast bringing its club down onto the head of a soldier, killing him instantly.

Hoho... THis will be dangerous. Off ya get missy. I see plenty of wounded.

Emilia wordlessly slid off the large shoulder as the man barged through the soldiers ahead and met head on with the imp.

Uargh!

There was a loud clash of metal as both weapons met. However, Emilia had already holstered her weapon and began dragging a wounded knight from the fray and behind a low garden wall. It was right next to the battle, but it was good enough. With nimble fingers, she undid the armour plating and exposed the vicious wound on his chest.

Moderate laceration to the torso... no ruptured organs nor broken bones... right.... Lukas, Christiane! Help drag some of the more heavily wounded here first before helping Brumak. I'll set an aid station here!

Porre-Port

“Stop crying and get real! We’re in battle!”

Never chocked back his tears just as the 'Reaper' instructed. "Right" said Never getting his mindset back.

He could mourn later. The 'Reaper' paused for a moment and stared up into the sky. Just then a wailing scream could be heard echoing all throughout the skies of Porre. "What was that?" asked Never. "It's loud."

"Sounds like..." The 'Reaper' mumbled as he took off towards the noise...

Never let the man go. and grabbed his sword. "Well Cheep, we should focus more on our mission so we can leave this place..." said Never.

Silence. "Cheep?" Never called out. "Cheep!"

Never had remembered seeing his mouse on the Reaper's shoulder. He quickly ran in the direction of the loud noise from earlier.

Porre- Mayor's House

Never ran through the debris of the city, There was barely a person in sight. Finally Never could see the black soldier. "Wait!" he shouted. "Slow down!"

The man heard him and stopped. "What?" asked the 'Reaper'.

"You took Cheep by accident!" said Never.

"What? You mean the rodent?" asked the Reaper taking the mouse who held on for dear life on his shoulder and plucking him off. "Take him."

Never took the mouse and realised that they were in a large pile of soldier bodies. The 'Reaper' just stood there and stared at the battle taking place in front of what looked like the mayor's house. The two dueling we're two giants according to Never. "Whoa" said the boy in awe.

He had never seen duels so big in his life. He felt like an ant. Across from the battle there was a station set up with a heap of soldiers. Three people were tending to their wounds. "Should we help them?" asked Never.

"We?" said the dark figure.

Boom! A part of the house was taken off by the mace of the giant imp. Screams of the family inside could be heard. Without thinking Never raced over the save them ducking another swing of a mace. He finally got to the house. and went aroung to the back. The door was locked in the back. Never struck the door with the Ever sword. It broke.

"Come out here!" Never shouted into the house from the back door.

The family could be heard running towards him. They all made it out of the house just as another swing of the imp's mace took another chunk out of it. "Follow me!" said Never as he attemted to lead the mayor and his family back to the station where the soldiers were set up.

The only problem was the battle of the giant imp and the giant man was taking place between them...

Porre-Mayor's House

While Brumak was dealing with the enlarged imp, Christiane heard the combat medic's decision to find any wounded. Christiane went ahead to the City's Port.

Porre-Port

As soon as Christiane entered the port she saw several smaller imps trying to find survivors to kill. The Four of them spotted and forced her into a fight. Christiane got into a fighting stance, as the 4 imps surrounded her. All of them charged at the Belkan monk, however Christiane was used to engaging multiple opponents. She started by quickly grabbing the first imp and tossing him to another one, knocking those two to a piece of rubble. She quickly drew out her quarterstaff and swung at the imp's face, knocking it out, the Fourth one snuck in behind Christiane and grabbed at he, but the monk tossed the imp away from her, landing on the ground in pain.

Christiane came across her first wounded soldier, "Please, help me." Christiane responded in her usual German accent, "Don't worry, let me help you get up." Helping up the wounded soldier, who had his leg broken in battle, Christiane had the soldiers arm around her neck and grabbing him around the waist, started to walk towards the makeshift aid station.

Moderate laceration to the torso... no ruptured organs nor broken bones... right.... Lukas, Christiane! Help drag some of the more heavily wounded here first before helping Brumak. I'll set an aid station here!

"It's Luca ......" Luca trailed off as he watched Emilia spring into action. "You know what, you're busy, we'll worry about it later." Luca trotted over to a fallen soldier and examined his wounds. The man was unconscious, with a pretty good knock to the head, but there were no exterior wounds. He could wait. Luca bounced around Porre, doing his best to triage the wounded. He brought a few back to where Emilia was assisting, and then began to help her care for them.

He drew out his dagger along with a vial of tonic. Releasing a hidden catch in the pommel of the dagger, he poured the contents of the vial into the handle of the blade. Luca tossed the empty vial to the side and gave the dagger a quick shake. Kneeling beside a soldier with a ghastly cut along his shoulder, which threatened to cost him his entire left arm, he tore a piece of fabric from the man's tunic and rolled it into a bolt.

"Open your mouth." The soldier obeyed. "Bite hard on that cloth. This..... this is going to sting a little."

Luca took the dagger and ran it along the edges of the wound. The man groaned, obviously in severe distrees. He bit down hard on the cloth as Luca continued his work, sliding the dagger into the deepest part of the wound. "Almost finished..... almost...... there..... and done."

Removing the dagger, he could almost watch the effects of the healing fluid take hold. The skin began to regrow, and muscles began to reshape while bones reknit.

Luca wiped his brow and moved on to the next soldier.

The Forest Above Porre

Alexander could just see the town in the distance, he went into a sprint, following the path to the town Porre. Once he reached the town he slowed down into a walk and sat on a nearby bench to catch his breath.

He looked around and saw a large imp waving a club around, and several warriors fighting it. He stood up and decided to help them out. He walked over and pulled out his sword, he stood in his battle stance and sprinted at the imp, swinging his sword back behind his neck , when he reached the imp he swung forward full force and electrocuted the imp, it stumbled... Alexander was surprised it only stumbled from the force of the impact of his weapon.

(OOC: Finally managed to think of a way to get into Porre ^^ )

((OOC: Hm, poor imp's getting beaten up badly, but this episode should end soon. Now that everyone's gathered at Porre, time for the next phase. It’s time for the Reaper to flaunt his skills.

Porre

There was little time to waste. As soon as the Mayor escaped from the house with his other family, the ‘Reaper’ dashed into the fray. There was huge man doing battle, but no serious harm had been dished out thus far. Although he would rather leave the two to do battle honorably, he realized his patience was being tested.

Raising his scythe, a malevolent aura stirred, and enveloped the blade with shadows. These shadows danced around the blade, and made the area relatively cold. “You’re being irritating imp, don’t blame me.” He muttered, and swung his scythe in a slashing motion at the monster.

Having timed this perfectly, the wave of darkness sped towards the monster just as the warrior pushed it back. Still staggering, it was unprepared for this second deadly attack that came from the side. The shadows made contact with the imp, and entered into it. There was no blood spilled, no wounds formed.

Yet, just like this, the hulking imp collapsed in a heap, dead. Pulling his hood further down to enshroud his face, he permitted himself a victorious smile.

The other monsters, seeing how their champion collapsed, began to retreat. Cheers promptly rose, from the soldiers. It had been an arduous battle against a new enemy, and having scored a victory was no doubt was celebrating.

The Mayor knew this as well. Nodding in approval, he suddenly realized how lucky he had been to keep the ‘Reaper’ with him when he first appeared. Nevertheless, he pushed the thought aside as he looked around at the supporting troops sent by Guardia.

Nodding yet again, he called for a subordinate, and ordered him to gather the supporting troops.
