I cant agree with that above though. If you dont like someone better not to say hello i personally find, its not just better but im not gunna bother greeting somone that i dont like....sorry not happening. I wouldnt say hi to someone in real life i dont like and the same applies here. I just felt the need to point that out.

Nah, you're right about that, and I wouldn't do that either. I still don't go out of my way to say "Hello (insert example person here)" But if it's something along the lines of someone coming into the shoutbox and saying "Hello everyone", I don't think a hey is out of line.

You're right though, and I'm not gonna put the blame on anyone about that thread, was a simple example. It bothered me, so I can only imagine how she felt, and that bugged me. Small point, I got over it.

I'm just not a big fan of the teaming up on people. I think if you have problems with someone you should handle it one on one, and not back yourself up with a whole posse. If that makes sense. Just my opinion, though.

What Stang was saying were his personal views, people he gets along with most likely, so if he sees some change, I think he kinda has the right to mention that...? Doesn't mean he's sitting there sobbing about it.

Yeah, this pretty much sums it up. I created this thread in hopes to alleviate a somewhat minor problem. Unfortunately the thread escalated into something more. It really isn't a big deal and quite frankly, I was over it before most were. But the purpose this thread was meant to serve actually worked. The nature of threads and the SB have been quite a bit better since it's birth. So I appreciate the help everyone!

And yes, this community is quite a bit more friendly than most other forums. That's what makes most of us such a tight-knit group. So when hostility begins, folks like myself become concerned for others. Nobody is compatible with every forum on the internet. If the way people are here bothers you Ireal, then why stick around? I'm just saying, it doesn't matter to me, but you seem like you don't want to be here. If you tried to hang around, you'd be welcomed with open arms.

As a side note: I just learned about rep when I saw my bar was a different color than everyone elses. No need to rep me out of pity people (lol). I've got a neg-rep fan. 5/6 of my neg reps are by the same guy. Some dude named Rincewind? I don't think I've ever even talked to the dude. Plus, I think red>blue.

Edit: Just saw the guy above me. I only really post in the "serious discussion" section for a reason. I don't care about integration into an online community. This place seems to be full of idealists who really have no clue about what they're talking about, and I just find it fun to call them on it. This is a bit different from trolling, because my arguments are actually genuine and not meant to really make people angry. But that just seems to be a common side effect here.

I didn't say you were, I just thought it was rude. I respect your opinion, but some of the things you stated were just unneeded imo.

Either way, I'm not gonna derail this thread, as I don't think this is the issue, so I'm done with this.

Personally, I neg rep you because in just about every single one of your posts you never have anything nice to say. While it's nice to get a different perspective on things (which I like), it's not so nice to get the condescending attitude along with it. If only you lightened up a bit, and tried a little harder to not be a condescending ass about it, I'd be pos-repping you up the ass. Because quite frankly, most of your ideals are great, and I enjoy the logical side of your posts. However, due to the "flaming" nature of your posts, and in some cases, downright attacking members for the forum, I can't say I care for your attitude.

Also, I neg repped you for one of your posts in here because you seem determined to think the mods are out to get you. You did this once with a former Admin, and twice with Shu. The mods aren't out to get you, not at all. Lighten up a little bit, and you'd be fucking great. Red carpets would roll out in front of you and throngs of people would bow and worship you at your feet.

EDIT: It appears that my vacation has just been extended, so I won't be around much to discuss the much further. However, I stand by what I said. Yes, you do have an attitude problem, and that's about your only problem. I'm not going to apologize for the neg reps I gave you because I believe you promptly deserved them. Not because your points are bad, because your attitude sucks, and you tend to insult people, not to mention anyone lurking around can kind of conclude you have some issue with mods being after you.

This can all be easily dismissed because as you said, you're not here to be a part of the community, you're obviously not here to make friends, you basically just want to argue, and hey, that's fine. The side effect of anger from the community here is easily justified by your negative attitude and the constant barrage of insults. So on that note, you'll get no sympathy from me.

All in all, I don't want to derail this any further than I already have. I've put in my two cents (both on the original subject, and the side subject of you) and if you want to discuss this more, by all means, send me a PM. I'll reply when my vacation is over.

Thread Closed. is what needs to be said here.......Whats wrong with a forum trying and wanting to provide/produce a place that people are comfortable. Lets not forget why most people come here:FF.

Its not a subject that is overly sexual or invites people to want to argue with one another.....Its a game that makes people want to seek out others who share the experience, and while there are facilities for serious debate(where we are right now)
its just a side area when the real world comes knocking.

The facilities here are great, the graphics area, the Gold Saucer, the RPG......and then there is the FF um Forums, if your not here for these or to be apart of an online community......then just piss off!

This may sound like "gushing", but I think it holds true for the real people here?

Right. My bad then, just the way it was typed out made me feel like you were referring to the people who part of this forum, and would make a thread like how Stang did, I thought you meant those people weren't 'here' for the things that you should be on here for.

I suppose I am taking sides, which I really didn't mean to do in the first place, but I just know how frustrating it can be, when you grow close to certain people on a forum, and all sorts of weird stuff starts happening. It's just something that can bother you, whether or not you care about the internet, it's the people behind it. But oh well. O.O

Besides FFxIII-net WOW now that forum is ridiculous, I was flamed constantly by little runts there...its was unbelievable, they had no rules whatsoever about flaming/swearing.
I noticed when someone new was posting there something, but was in the wrong section, people started saying very negative comments...SO I joined just to tell them whats up, I told them they were arrogant etc....

Many discussions etc later I was upset...(I realised Im just wasting my time this way) and I left..... This moment made me disapointed in humanity..

Internet somehow gives people a sense of power but also hope.

So if you have no friends IRL but on the internet you are acting like a bigshot (you are pathetic and you FAIL)
If you have a lot of friends IRL and respect everyone on the internet and being modest/sincere then I will respect you no matter how your RL is.

But I am telling you these GEAKS acting like hotshots are more common on the internet... so just gotta deal with it.

Ive seen this behaviour everywhere, especially on youtube... people are ignorant..dont get me started lol./
