Calling All Europeans!

I'm English and no, I don't speak posh like they do in London.

Why do Americans love English accents? I never understand that! And why does everyone want to come here? Gee.

They like it because it's very, fancy, if you know what I mean. I fancy it too, and made me the Master of the English Accent in my school.
Notice the capitalized Master again.

Geez, it's the novelty of hearing the famed British accents. Though of course...there are several.

I'm not European. Asian, Filipino, from the Philippines, but I live in the U.S. And I guess I should take back my 'not European' comment since I am Spanish....

But anyways, what do you want the thread title changed to?

Well, I do speak fluent British, since I'm a Master at picking up the foreign accent.
Notice the way I capitalized the word Master. Yes, I am the TRUE Master of Foreign Accent!

fluent......British......?

Other than the Chinese accent, which startles me (no offence, China), Scottish startles me more than anything.
I had recently found out that I have a Scottish accent, as told by my friends, and it startled me so much, I fell to the ground. I mean, if they told me that before, and it weren't serious and stuff, I would've wet my pants laughing.

i doubt it, most non scottish people have difficulty understanding what scots are saying

Oh, my. I meant that I never heard it before. And so it startled me when I heard it everyday that turned out to be my voice.

how the chuff did you work that one out if you've never been scotland before?

Not really, go to Inverness or Edinburgh and you shouldn't be too bad. Now Dundee on the other hand, that's a bit of a different story, five is pronounced as fev for some reason. But the towns mostly students so it's rare to hear someone speak proper in Dundonian dialect.

Spanish, now there's a language!

i like spanish, i cant roll my r's so i have a bit of trouble with it.

i have no trouble, i had scottish grandparents and when they talked to people i had to translate for them. so it can be difficult for people not used to it

Say aye to a pie! Or a 'peh' as the Dundonians call them...

My accent is apparently *very* Scottish indeed, but I speak properly though so people can usually understand me.. *shrug*
