Bring back "Other Square-Enix Games" section?

I remember a long time ago that a subforum for other S-E games beyond FF and KH was here, but got scrapped due to lacking activity. But I think it might be worth looking into again. More S-E game's have and still are coming out, and I think it might be better to keep all those threads into one section under the S-E name.

I'm not hard pressed for this idea, but just thought I'd throw it out there

We got rid of it because there wasn't much of a demand for that particular forum at the time, but we did say we'd bring it back if demand increased. I'm thinking that time is about now?

I don't think that there would be enough demand for 'other SE games' to warrant their own section. I like FF and KH but besides that I don't give a shit about any other games by Square Enix. I see where you're coming from but personally I don't see why SE games shouldn't be discussed in Rocket Town.

I agree with SaShman. The main non-FF SE games / FF Spin-offs (KH, Dissidia, etc) all have their own sub-sections in which they can be discussed, at a push FF Related Titles could even be used. I think if any other SE game discussion crops up, and there isn't a sub-section for it, then Rocket Town is the perfect place to go. Creating another sub-section creates more confusion for newbies, and more work for section mods.

Unless SE suddenly release a series of games which warrant discussions that can't be limited to one thread, I don't see the need to remake this section. It was deleted for a reason, and I'm not seeing a great demand to justify it being brought back.

It isn't really based on a "popular demand" in all honesty. The section was removed mainly because members were creating dupe threads (one in Other SE Games while there is already a thread for it in Rocket Town, vice versa). Technically, threads like that could go in either section, so to save the hassle of having the mods do extra work (determining whether there's already a thread in another section /shifting threads here and there), and members trying to determine which is the most appropriate section, we simply concluded the section itself was more of a confusion and quite unnecessary.

Id love to talk about other square games such as Chrono Trigger. I think thisis a nice idea. Other square games have been very popular so I say why not? There are tons of Square games that appeal to everyone. Even the Square enix games aren't so bad....

You can still talk about Chrono Trigger. The thread is found under "Multiple Platforms" in Rocket Town. We're not preventing anyone from making SE-related threads at all.

Aye I follow the same logic here as Mits. Although I will add, Admin or not, I still don't see enough discussion in regards to other SE games in Rocket Town to actually have their own section again. It's not that they aren't being played, it's just that we usually base sub forums/forums based off of either what's hot, or up and coming games.

I'm not sure how much good adding back the "other SE games" section would be if at the current time there isn't as much discussion at current. Also remember, we do have an Index for games in rocket town, so if anything I can touch up that in order for quick Thread locations for SE titles.
