Okay, so I'm shocked at myself, but I'm giving my vote to number 1. It's not the best design-wise, but I feel it succeeded in the creepy factor because it is indeed creepy.

number 2(hehehe number two ) was a very close second.

#1 is very spooky, I really like the border and the colours work quite well. However, the text doesn't quite complete the piece. I'm sure it could have done, but I'm not 100% sure about the placement and effects. Perhaps bring it a little further down, shift 'fears' to the right a bit, and make the colour a little bolder?

#2 is vibrant and quite smooth, too. I love the colours! The lantern appears quite warm and sinister at the same time! The composition of this piece is pretty good and I do think it's my favourite here! did you add the leafy effects on top of the lantern? The text doesn't quite work. I would have either left it out or made it a bit bolder and moved it towards the bottom right, or perhaps along the sides. Text is tricky, but it's always best to make it part of the overall piece. It's a bit separate here.

#3 is cute and I do love the composition of this piece! Did you build the background yourself? I like the shape of the piece, although it's all a bit smooth and sweet for halloween. I suppose it does remind me of those who dress up and just enjoy the holiday though! I'm not too keen on the text. >.< I think white would have worked better, as it would have balanced out the bright skin of the render, and a simpler font. I am guessing that's a halloween font! I tend to combine fancy fonts with something more simple. For some reason, that always seems to look a little cleaner. Oh! I really like the lighting effects in this! Very pretty.

#4 is well composed and the stock is perfect for the theme of 'halloween.' I do quite like the font you've used! It's fancy, but somehow works. However, I'm not so sure about the green colour of the text. I can see what you were going for - you were trying to balance in against the brew in the cauldron - but it's just a little too different to the rest of the piece. The green clashes with the background a little. A more toned down shade of green could work really well, however, and I do love the sweeping effects above the cauldon! Something sinister is rising up at her command!

I voted 2. I like how bright it is, how clear in quality the image is, the text, and the border. Pretty much everything Good job, mystery person

1-Everything blends a little too well for me, especially the text. I can't read it too well

3- Is very cute, I like how clear the image is...and the border, I'm just not too nuts about anime stuff but that's me

4- I like the effects and the image used, I'm just not too nuts about the green text and effects. It does pop out really well from the image, I just don't care for the fact that it clashes so much with the orange.

I'm voting 1. It's really creepy! But also the blending of that face into the background and the streaks of the red and stuff is all so well done. The text compliments the creepy face focal so well. Nice job!
