Have you ever changed your bank provider?

Or have you always stuck with the same one since you first opened an account?

I was with BOQ (Bank of Queensland) for nearly 10 years and I just changed to CBA (Commonwealth Bank) in the last few weeks.

Their opening hours are much better. They are open on weekends, whereas BOQ had a select few branches open only for a few hours on a Saturday and they were never anywhere near me.

The CBA is also at the shopping centre where I work, so it's easy to just go do whatever, whenever I want.

The BOQ used to be in the shopping centre too, but they moved out a few years ago.

The service is much better too I've found, but it could just be those particular banks and the people who work there.

I originally had a local bank back home in Pennsylvania. When I went into the military it made it hard for me to keep track of my money and deposit when I was away from home so I switched over to USAA which is a military one with online banking. I had both of the bank acconts for a while until I went home for the 2nd time and just closed out the local one. Everything has been pretty smooth sailing since and I love the one I'm currently with.

My husband and I used to have Wells Fargo for the longest time, along with USBank that I signed up for through my work (at the time) seven years ago. Wells Fargo was our main account, and a few years ago we found out that they were charging us just for having a savings account. It was free when we opened an account with them, but they never disclosed that they would start charging us for our savings account. Anyway, long story short, we closed our account with Wells Fargo (there were other issues with it) and now currently use USBank.

Meh, banks.

I changed from Australian Central Credit Union to the NAB and while mostly it's been great, NAB have the cheapest homeloan rate and stuff which saves me money, one thing does annoy me... With the ACCU I got my pay on Thursdays...with NAB I get it on Fridays :( NAB hold onto your money for a full day, I assume to get interest out of it but ugh, even though it's one day it's still a bother.

I do not know who provides my bank, so I wouldn't know about how to go about changing them.
I haven't changed my bank either. I don't really need to. I have fuck all money and I don't have a credit card or any fucking loan shit.

i am with the HBOS. they gave me a special savings account with 90% interest.

just because they know what a pillar of the community i am.
