XBox Are you an achievement whore?

I've been working over Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition, lately. Planning to beat all difficulties over the next couple of weeks, sooooo yeah, I think that makes me an achievement whore.

I would not say that I am an achievement whore. I usually just go through the game and beat it, and whatever I get, I get. The only one I'm really trying to get done all the way atm is Dragon Age: Origins. I might as well finish it, since I'm so close to doing so.

In short: Yes.
In long: YES I AM AN ACHIEVEMENT-WHORE D: Whenever a game (or console) has an achievement system I spend weeks trying to get as many as I can. I always stop playing the actual game to nab some of them.

I'm not big on the whole achievement-whoring thing. Achievements are nice, they give you a nice feeling, but I'm not crazy about them.

On the Xbox 360??

Seriously, I am... I've been currently unlocking achievements for the games I've been playing. I love the fact you can increase your gamer score by unlocking the achievements but some games are so hard and I get pissed off when I can not unlock a higher achievement...

What about you?

I don't usually go out of my way to get achievements... If I'm bored and none of my friends are on live I might though!

Well after playing WOW and becoming overly obsessed with achievements with that game... I've decided to never care about any kind of achievements again. So no I'm not an achievement whore. I just want to play a game and be done with it. Not worry about getting some achievement. I kid of just laugh when they pop up.

When i first got an xbox i whored over achievements, it just started as harmless competition between friends then i got completely sucked in and after a 3 week holiday with no xbox i came back and couldn't be bothered anymore. I just didn't see the point 20k+ gamescore which failed to do anything, hell it would have been better if xbox had a separate avatar shop where you could buy clothing with Gscore. But no, it was just a pointless amount of numbers and nowadays i don't bother to look twice if the achievement notification pops up during gameplay

Not all that much really. Most of the time I barely notice how high my achievement score is and only look when somebody asks. Then I go :holyshit: is it really that high up? I can't remember how high it was the last time I looked but I say, for me anyways, it was a fair number.

Sure I am. I mean, who isn't? :D! Everybody wants to prove that their pretty beast by having the highest gamerscore, so if that means spending countless hours getting those damned achievements, then why not. I personally only do that on games i actually like, and not the ones that are just too suckish xD.

I havent gotten any acheivements in about 2 weeks or So. Its because I have been playing Halo Reach online xD I finished all the Online acheivements on reach already but new ones are comng with the next map pack. I still want to go back to my previois gamea and earn some acheivements though.

The first thing I do after I buy a new game for my Xbox is peer into the achievements for it.
So yes, I'm a bit of an achievement whore. Tis my naughty addiction.

Right now, I'm trying to get them all on DMC4, PoP:Epilogue and Mirrors Edge.

I am definetily an achievement whore. I always check which achievements are easier to get first, or some that include attacking this many times, or I guess it all depends on the game

I'd say I'm an achievement whore. I always look constantly to see which achievements I'm missing out on then sit in until I get it xD

I'm not really too bothered by the achievement system in a game unless it offers something substantial in the long run, which is usually rare. After playing WoW and seeing how horrible the community became after such a system was implemented, I'm not too keen on such things.

If the achievements grant something I can actually use (like in Agarest War where you are rewarded with stat points you can spend on your party, gold, usable items and some powerhouse weapons), then I'll take my time to get as many of the achievements as I can get. If the achievements are merely bragging rights, then I could care less.

I'm no achievement whore, the only ones i go after are the ones that give you something, same for trophies such as the themes you can get in Final Fantasy XIII.

Aye, sometimes, if they're doable, or get something interesting whilst doing them. I suppose they're just added challenges for competitive gamers. Most of my achievements are just random really. If it's a Bioware game I usually try and get most because they open more quests and options in their games, such as your companions will give you personal quests on their behalf.

Yeah I love trying to complete all the achievements in my games, I did ever since I got it but sadly I only completed 2 games but it was 3. I have Enchanted Arms complete, WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2011 complete. And I used to have Phantasy Star Universe completle until I downloaded the expansion and it gave me more stuff to do then I lost my internet -_-

Im so close to finishing up Final Fantasy XIII I only have 3 achievements left and 1 is just unlock all others so its just 2 left now. collect all weapons and 5 star rank all missions. And I honestly dont think im ever going to unlock those. Some are really just to freaking hard >_<
