It was really hard to choose between 3, 6 and 8 for me.

But I finally decided on number 3.

I love the clean and detailed background with the violin (I think that's what it is) blended in very well.

I like that big blue splash over it and the position of the text.

The lighting is really well done and the border looks fine, though I think a white border would help it stand out more. =)

Omnomnomnom.

This theme was damn well amazing.

Two of the entries stood out for me in the avatar of the week;

Really pretty. The instrument is nicely position, as well as the text, the little cirlcle brush is beyond cute, and the whole colour scene made me enjoy looking at it even more. Really nicely done.

The one I'm voting for. Love the sentence, text, and image. xD Definitely rock and roll suitable. A nice simple border, and the little sparks behind the text, which looks like a C4D but I could be wrong, are really nice too. Very nice touch. ^^

Number 8 for me.

Although I don't know who Otis Taylor is, it's a very classy avatar. The light was handled well and the text is clean and stylish. I especially liked the white cut at the top decorated with small brushes. Terrific job.

Hmm.

Well, I'm still kinda lurking in the edges of FFF, and I feel a little uncertain trying to judge other people's GFX skills when my own are kinda journeyman. With that caveat.


These are lovely. There's a lot of "oh, that's the one-- no, that one!" as I scan them.

I particularly like:

Edgy, metal sort of feel to it. I love fire toned graphics, so this is a silly bias, but also, the whole icon is integrated: edgy font, split image, fiery brushwork(?), etc.

Great crop, a very professional-looking feel with the sepia tone photo, colored detail down at the bottom, and the interesting lettering at a slant.

Clean, simple. Lovely coloring without going overboard (a problem I have). The clean sans serif font works very well.

But after vacillating I went with:

which presses all of my buttons. I love the use of textures, lights and color, the 45 degree rotation for a more energetic image, the lights, and especially the way the photo fades into the background. Also, great, unusual but not fussy font, with good placement and use of different point sizes.

 

[Mitsuki]

#3 definitely. I love the tilt of the text - it really went well here. The lighting is gorgeous and the violin looks pretty surrounded with beautiful blurred effects. The composition and whole look really did it for me.
