Well, it was meant to go up last week, but I only had one entry. Now I have two...so...

Ooooh, tough one. I really like them both, but I'm going to have to go with number 1. You never see an avatar shaped oddly like that. It's unique. ^_^

This was a tough one but I vote for number 1. It has a more unique look to it that works in my favor.
 
Both are fantastic, but the soothing colors and subtle effects on the second appeal to me more. It's sweet and simple and doesn't have to much going on. I really like it ^^

It's colourful, it's unique, it';s different, it shows what Britain looks like. It's easily done but it really stands out.

(What the helll??! Ireland is not part of Britain anymore!! It's Northern Ireland that belongs to England! :gasp:)
 
Well... I'll vote for #2... it's much nicer.

Besides... I'd never use #1 there as an avatar... an it's rather too simplistic for my liking.

As the #1 looks cool, Its too simple and only parts of UK were cutted :gasp:
I also like the warm/dark colors used, and the small text. ^_^
 
I picked number 2 because I think that they put in more effort then the other person.
 
I have to vote for 2 here. But the thing is that number 1 is actually original and very well done, the only problem is that as an avatar it doesn't appeal to me very much due to its unconventional shape and size. But whoever did number one definitely deserves congratulations for doing something completely different than anything I've seen before.
 
Went for the second one, for two reasons:

1) I think it looks better;
2) Britain =/= England. Britain = Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales. That irritates me greatly. -__-
 
Number 2 takes it for me this time.

The graphic looks good and the effects only improve the image. Good work.
 
Im loving 1, its so different and its fab how its the same shape as the UK! Fabulous work there, truly nice!

Same here, its the first think i noticed. Its because wer scottish you know that right?

Even though i still prefer number one. The colors are beautiful it looks like the sun is setting.
