AMC's Walking Dead

I'll definitely see it, but I haven't seen it yet. It starts a few days later in the UK, and I don't even think that I have the channel that it is airing on, sadly.

I saw some sneak previews of this at a comics convention I went to and the scenes I saw were pretty good.

It will be very gory, and it will make the viewer think too. It isn't just shooting zombies, but it is much more than that.

I hope to see the series one day.
 
Ah im realy likeing it,tonights a new episode:D,Im almost ready to hunt down the comic its taken from but the show its self is realy awesome.
I like how everything is portrayed as "real" as it is and I happen to like gore so its very suitible to my taste lol.
Anyone who likes scary movies should wach it,its also a nice show for people like me who detest "reality" TV since theres so much of that crap nowadays
 
It's good, I'll give it that. The story is original, the costumes and makeup is great, too. I've watched it so far, so I hope it stays kewl.
 
Woah! Woah! The TV here is showing something recently new?! OMG! THIS IS A SHOCK FOR ME!

I'm watch this show, most likely because it's really getting me interested in it. Also, I never really watched Resident Evil and the like, so I'd like to see what is the cause for this state people go in. To be quite honest, I didn't like the idea that the Walkers can hear, smell AND see. I mean you should take something from them, other than being able to speak. =P

Though, seriously, TV channels here actually aired something recent, I AM STILL IN SHOCK!
 
I'm really enjoying it so far, and I've heard that it has been commissioned for another series now. Depending on how well it continues to do we may eventually get the whole thing.

I think it is filmed really well, and is well acted. It isn't mindless horror for shock and fright, but it is about the people in a time of crisis. It is something which is shamefully rare.
 
It shows people and there true colours~ even under dire sercumstances.
Normally in shows like this people band togeather and are all lovey dovey . Its nice seeing a show where it relects actual...life
 
I absolutely LOVE this show. I started watching it from when it premiered, and have never missed an episode (although, that isn't saying much since there has only been three...haha.)

Granted, it may be a bit too gory for some people's taste..and realistic..but that was how the graphic novels are, and I have been following those. I just need to get my hand on Book 3. :D

And to be personally honest, I don't doubt it got the highest rating; I know a lot of people were complaining saying it was just going to be a "Zombie-shoot-em-up!" type deal, but I'm thrilled to say it isn't. The series is much deeper then that. While there are zombies being killed, it doesn't FOCUS on the fact there are zombies. Zombies are just a fact of the world. It focuses on the survivors of it, how they change, how they cope, and how they survive; something that needed to be done eventually regarding the genre of "Zombie Apocalypse".

Then again, I may be a little biased and fanboyish.

Also..it's AMC. They developed "Mad Men". Do they ever give us crap?

ANYWAY!

I love the show.

I was so excited when I heard it was coming out.

1. Because I had been reading the graphic novels/comics and I REALLY like them. The story is amazing, and, I mean, who doesn't want to read a comic book series that so far doesn't have an end in the seeable future. The creator wants to keep it going as long as he can.

and

2. Because I love Zombie stuff. I'm happy they decided to make a T>V. Series about zombies. =o It's super awesome.

I've only seen the first 2 episodes though
hopefully I'll get to watch the rest later
good series :D
 
I loved the first episode, it felt like a movie to me. but then it went downhill. I still watch it but I am not really excited about it coming out.

My BF loves it tho, I am going to get him a 2011 Walking dead calendar for xmas ;) (along with other things)
 
I loved this show!!:x3: I ended up watching the first episode online the day after it premiered and I didn't stop watching after that. I couldn't wait for the next episode, just so I could get my zombie fix in. I really didn't find the show too scary, although it was rather gory for a cable TV show. And more than once I can say I had zombie apocalypse dreams after watching a episode. I for one call this an excellent show, and extremely glad they are bringing it back for a second season. :jess:
