I stopped playing Final Fantasy XIII after I got to the side quest parts in Gran Pulse. I just got annoyed with the constant training to max out my stats and the monsters just kept on getting tougher, it was annoying. So, I just stopped playing and moved on to other games. That's why I'm making this thread, if anybody could tell me what happens after that I would be grateful.

Sidequests? what Sidequests? there were sidequests?:lew:

Are you talking about when you first arrived on grand pulse or when you left for EDEN and could go back to fight monsters?

If its the last one then you are not missing much pal just more fighting, the battles are a little bit more intense through the end of the story but its just the same boring concept over and over again, defeat that monster and proceed to the next animations.

Thr ending movie is not bad though vie it on youtube............Id post a link but.......meh

I was talking about the Eden part. Knowing that I won't be missing much, I will watch the ending movie on YOUtube, thanks.

I disagree. Eden is incredible. You start fighting more story important bosses from the end of Pulse to the end of the game. You learn new full ATB skills which are unique to each character and the game generally gains intensity and the enemeis are tough without being too tough.

Also, you aren't supposed to finish the sidequests this early. After you finish the game, save it and reload the saved file, you get level 10 of the Crystarium unlocked. That's the time to do your sidequests, mmkay?

I believe most people do at least some of the sidequests.
Most of the Titan Challenges are too tough for a player without the last crystarium level so you have to wait on doing those unless you want to try and get lucky by using Vanille's death spell.
I intend to finish it although I wish there was more that didn't require fighting.

I saved a second file for gran pulse. I heard that if you do enough side quests you get Sazh's attire for your 360 Avatar. I'm just wondering if the final part is worth playing? I've played through the first two discs and honestly the game hasn't really given me much to look forward to.

Personally I would carry on towards the end, rather than spoil yourself with the rest of the story like this. The last two chapters are by no means anywhere near the length of the 11th one each, but Eden is certainly one of the most fascinating locations of the game with some of the most memorable scenes of the game. Unless the game is really taxing you or stopping you completely from playing other preferable games instead, I don't see why you shouldn't give the final chapters a go. As mentioned, you really don't have to (nor is it really feasible) to do all the sidequests. Just try and get as much of the Crystarium filled out as you can at the moment (the Behemoth fighting the other creature by the mines in Archylte Steppe is useful) and proceed. But if you don't want to, it's fine. The final chapters won't exactly thrill you if the game has been a bit of a letdown or something so far.

Thats because this game dont inspire people, too most people its a chore, it takes hardcore nuts lke Jenna angel too be able to play this game and think highly of it, I agree its a beautiful game but the battle system needed retooling from day one.

I like the music and the grand hall of eden fast pacey powerful monsters sounds like the ingredients for a decent part of the game.............:amg: but its not.

S'okay Im a hard core nut :lew: but this game took a lot of energy to persevere with.

The stupid King Behemoth, I can never catch him by surprise, even when I sneak up behind him!

Anyway, now you've caught my intention by saying that it has the best scenes in the game. It's unfortunate that it takes so long to max out the crystarium but I'll go ahead and do that when I get the chance. And finding out that it won't take forever is good to know, too.

Edit: Galaxy, I got this game about a month after it came out but I always put it aside because of other games like Red Dead Redemption but I'm curious about what this Eden looks like.

Dude its a beautiful hall full of powerful monsters.

Slightly engrossing boss fights, but its just more of the same.

patterns are established in a fight and you paradigm shift to counter/instigate them a good concept but it taks the fun out of the game .

Can some someone plz ban me from this thread:lew:

Sounds like a good sight to see but the fighting sequence seems to still be boring; it began to bore me sometime during disc 2. I just hate that all you do is paradigram shifts and pick specific moves that do damage to that certain monster. The gameplay needs some serious fixing if they plan on making a fifteenth version of the series.
