2). Which makes Aerith a video game character.
3). Video game characters aren't actually real.
4). Cartoons aren't real.

You basically could argue that she's real, seeing that cartoons are human creation. Tell me, is the TV show the rugrats real? Or is it a figment of imagination? Aerith is real because she was created by human hands and brought into this world as a cartoon-ish-thing. Therefore I think a better statement would be that Aerith isn't alive
