About the friends lists?

When are they going to get fixed? we still can't see beyond the first page. and its becoming quite frustrating.

especially since the last thing we heard on it was - its onl temporary - and like 2 months later it still hasn't been fixed...

any of you staffers have any idea when it WILL be fixed? i was trying to view someone on my friends list earlier and couldn't - hence the revival of this complaint.
 
Nah, if you care about seeing who's added you and who hasn't, you'd be pretty mad. XD

Actually, I'd love to see who actually are on my friends list, even though I know it's pointless. :monster:
 
This is quite sad. Someone has the light of day to come in here and delete one of my posts, but they can't even muster up an explanation. This is beyond pathetic and bullshit.
 
Just an update on this situation guys.

Last night I tried going into the Friend's list Option in the ACP and there is no option concerning the second page or beyond and viewing them. As you can see, it used to be that you could only see 10 friends, but I have now made it 15. That was do-able, but making it to view the 2 page and beyond is a glitch issue that Belazor or DB may have to fix...

I tried, sorry. :(
 
thanks for trying Busta ^_^ but if you can't fix it its no huge Deal.

Couldn't they make it how it was before? when you used to be able to click "show all" and it showed all your friends?
 
I think its mainly a coding problem AG and there really isnt much we can do about it till Bela comes back.

Bumpity bump bump.

I'd still like this to be fixed =/ it still bugs the hell out of me, and since Belazors not an Admin anymore - what are the chances of this being fixed?
 
The only option we have right now is for BustaMo to change the display dimensions of the Friends list. We could have it 25 down by however wide it is now. You would see only as many friends as you had. All it would do is make the page longer. Last I knew he didn't want to go ahead without DB's consent.
 
I don't see the big deal with not being able to see the second page. Are people that conceited that they need to check up on people that are still supposedly their 'friend'? Sure, the principle might be enough to base this off, but really now...

Well, how about this scenario, Saix?

You need to ask someone on your friends list something that's fairly important. However, he/she isn't online at the moment nor has he/she visited the forums today, so you figure you'll just send a PM. A quick way to get to that person's profile is by going into your own profile and looking at your friends list. Lo and behold, the friend you need to speak with has dropped off the first page. So you click out of your profile and either go through the posts, scan through the Members list, or click Search and type in that member's name.

So it's not always about being conceited, Saix. :)
 
And failing that, you run a search on the members name, which will work. If they're on your friends list, chances are that you'll be posting in the same topics, so you can just check the threads you've posted in for theirs.
 
Or if you know their screename (You are their friend so you should)
Just click on your profile and replace your name with theirs in the Address Bar.
 
I do use that method to search quite a bit. Although I can't really say I care too much about this friends list thing... simply because I can find them by other means or I could just start typing their name in the PM box and the rest would be '"suggested" for me. Also, I have an "A" name... so no one should have any problem finding me. And thus, I don't care. :P

That's fair enough, but such a scenario -I ignorantly surmise- is uncommon here. Both the Member List and the Search options on the navigation bar aid in this quest for members... equally as easy to find I think. If not more-so.
 
This is a Technical problem that only a Technical Admin or DB could fix I'm guessing. We'll have to wait until one or the other ever shows up.
