Firstly why is the 'there have been x amount of posts and y amount of threads' etc etc thing so inaccurate. I was in the sb and then I looked at new posts. Then I returned to the homepage, new posts = 30. I then check who is online and then return to the homepage, new posts = 18.

And why does my total number of shouts always seem to be decreasing? Are they being auto-deleted or something?

actually I have noticed the threads and posts thing going up and down randomly whenever I refresh the page.

My shouts go down too but I assumed that was because the shoutbox refreshes each day and you start anew? but I guess its not that?

I think it's just a statistic problem. A lot of the time it comes up with something like replies = x amount whilst views = 0. :hmmm:

I've noticed threads with replies and no views. That makes loads of sense.

I know you excellent moderators and admins have read this because I am being heavily monitored. So is anything being done? Can anything be done.
And the shouts are being deleted at a much faster rate than when I made this thread. Hmm ah yeds, mmm aha.

Il add to this.
Is there a way to stop being signed out because youv been inactive for x amount of time? Its really annoying because the time period isnt long at all. 7 mins or so i would say.

Sorry not usually around on the weekends, though since I am getting around to it... how about an honest answer from me. I don't think we know either. Sad part is we are still trying to get around to ironing out some of the bugs on the site and having the tech admins work closely with us. It would most likely rely on Dragon Byte's plugins as it more tied into the vb statistics than anything else.

And No Hal, your posts aren't being deleted. You can go as far back as around 2 days. We no longer manually prune as well unless beyond 20k shouts, so everyone's stats as far as SB should in fact be acurate. Though I will say the vb activity stuff at the top, I'm still a bit confused why some of it has 0 views and sometimes 4 replies at a time, unless the invisible mode has something to do with it.

Meh.. I'll leave it in the hands of Belazor and Decado to answer for now. Sorry I could not be of service. (An admin who doesn't know the technical side of the site.. I know right..)

I think that's just a timing issue, in terms of how often the site collects data in terms of views. It did that on 3.6 as well, though it wasn't quite as noticeable.

Lew, I've not had that problem, where it signs me out of the site. In fact, I've left it idle for hours at a time, come back to it, and I'm still logged in. The most I'd have to do is refresh the page. So that might be something on your end.

Thank you for your responses moderating team. But I've had the same problem as Jerome, usually if you use the remember me thing you won't get logged out, but that's still a bit of a pain as you may not want to use it.

Ya i put it on 'remember me' and its not done that since so its all cool now.

Thread Views are not updated in real time, for performance reasons :)

The X posts and Y threads are what vB feeds me, sadly nothing I can do about that :(
