A lot of people ask me why I play this games or why I waste my time with these games (namely my girlfriend). sometimes friends or parents. Im sure im not the only one who recieves heat from those who dont grasp the connection we players have with the games.

So I designed this forum for people who would like to share how they answer these questions or judgments from others in a simple and brief way. Below is how I responded to my girlfriend.

"These games are like a trip to another world where dull and boring reality is left behind. while some people read stories or novels, I prefer to play a leading role in an interactive story. Everyone loves to travel, and when you dont have the option of real travel, these games offer a structure or interactive road to take you places you cant go in real life."

Thats my response. I allow all people to tell me how they feel and you may also mention the heat you recieve from others and why you answer the way you do. My answer is perfect for my chinese girlfriend who loves to read and travel. The beauty of argument is that if you argue right...than you never wrong - nick nayler (thanks for smoking)
 
Final Fantasy takes me away from the harsh cold world thats called reality. Although in Final Fantasy its the same, you will find true friendship, love and real bonds and together you will do justice and fight against the evil that possesses the world. Only in Final Fantasy you will ever experience that true sense of acomplishment and you are not alone.

xD it used to be like this tbh,,,I dont get the same feeling with the newer games...FFX really sucked me in and thats how I felt..
 
Very beautiful. these are the kind of posts I'm looking for. Deep and thoughtful. I was afraid the first person who replied to this thread was just going to be....Becuase I do what I want when i want blah blahblah. I dont care what everyone else thinks..lol
 
haha well thats true also, I have friends who played FF in the past but that number declined unfortunately..

I also have other section of friends who never played it...they are more into drinking,clubbing, playing more soccer/fps games etc..these guys never watched any anime as well or dont like it...but they know why I play it.. cuz FF is the bomb..

Also back in the past when I played FF8 for the first time it blew me away...I had dreams about it, I dreamt I was in that same military school with same uniform..
One of my classmates would always talk so passionate about FF8 back then and he told me he had that dream...I was like wtf no way.... weird shit man hahaha.

I love Final Fantasy because in every game so far they've completely taken me into their world with their Amazing story telling and attention to the worlds Detail.
The characters are almost always charming and funny and really make you think!
The game itself is fun with many mini side quests, collectables and hidden characters for you to find which keeps you playing for months, then when you're done not long later you want to do it all again :D

-The Final Fantasy series is visually, intellectually, and emotionally stimulating in numerous ways.
-The worlds to which the player is taken are engrossing, full of exciting things to discover, and the stories are far better than most books, television series, or movies.
-Also, many of the characters are quite attractive, and I wouldn't mind having them come over for company ;)
 
Yes Im digging it! keep bringing it on people, we all know that there are deep seeded thoughts that make us play these games besides the fact that they are games. They are fun for a reason and I want yall to tell me these reasons from the bottem of your heart.

I love final fantasy playstation 1 backgrounds with aw. The stories are contantly moving in a addictive way. the gameplay is rewarding for spells along with rare items i must have.
 
The retro final fantasy games are epic.
I love them so much i'll be in heaven when i own them all

I thought I would attempt to re spark this thread because it seems like a fun thread. So I have dubbed another 3 sentances.

Nobuo Uematsu is an awesome composer and musician.
FF made my video game youth enjoyable.

In this, Final Fantasy excels, sending the user on an amazing journey with incredible sights, sounds, and peoples that are all unforgettable. Truly, these journeys make the soul take flight.
