[24/09] Rumor: Final Fantasy X HD To use Crystal Tools Engine

I'm pretty sure that no such thing will happen, but it wouldn't be the first time a company has betrayed their veteran consumers.

I personally think everything about FFXIII was an atrocity, but I also don't own a PS3. So I'm pretty impartial to it.

Sure as hell wouldn't pay more than 30 USD for a port/remake though.

Hopefully if this rumour is true and they are indeed remaking the entire game, they'll redo and improve the voice acting...FFX's main downfall imo.

If there were a Final Fantasy X remake, it would get a high definition upgrade and based on Final Fantasy X: International. The normal text font would be replaced with the font used in the instruction manual.

The voice actors would be different from the original game, and the lips would be resynchronized for localization. In the remake, unlike the original, the U.S. audience would have to face the Dark Aeons.

There would be some new dungeons and side quests. Eternal Calm would be included as well. A HD remake of Final Fantasy X would be nice.

I highly doubt that Square would go to the extra length to do all that when a simple HD makeover of the International version ought to suffice. There would be utterly no point at all for different voices (though as tempting as that may be) and that would serve only to either confuse the heck out of people or royally annoy them (I'd be amused). I even doubt now whether they would bother with the lip synching, but if this game were in HD, lip synching that is totally off would definitely look off-putting.

/feel free anyone, to quote this for posterity if Square Enix does decide to do the opposite of everything I suggested they would do/not do.
