12 Days of Christmas song -- Mythology Version!

So, similar to how people make verses for this song for different holidays, we're going to make '12 Days of Christmas' verses but instead insert a mythology, and go from there. We'll start out with Norse mythology. Each person must add a new verse, or several, and include all the previous ones made by other posters until 12 is reached. Then, the next poster selects the new mythology and starting verse, or can repeat an already mentioned mythology. I'll start off with the first verse, others then add theirs. Have fun!
