The top 10 selling singles of the 21st century :monster: I should have named the fred summin different really >_<

Just put this on, and tenth most sold song was Atomic Kitten, Whole again, selling just short of 1 million copies

Number 9.....wait for it......

Bob the Builder - Can We fix it :ffs: Selling 1,000.009 copies

I'l update this bollockery as the rest come on but this is....shocking to say the least. I am seriously questioning the reliablity of these stats :gasp:

Oh it gets better....

Number 8 - Pure & Simple, Hearsay 1.079 million copies sold

Number 7 Shane Ward - Thats my Goal -__- 1.081million copies

Number 6 - Kylie - Can't get you out of my head 1.084 million. Can't ever get the bloody song out of my head when I hear it either >_<

Number 5 - Band Aid 20 - Do they know its Xmas......the original was far better IMO -__- 1.138 million sold.

Number 4 - Shaggy - It wasnt me - 1.179 million

Number 3 - Tony Christie & Peter KAy - Amarilo. 1.182million

Number 2 - Gareth Gates - Unchained Melody. 1.338 million. I am losing the will to live I really am -__-

Number 1 - Will Young - Evergreen. 1.789million

Who the hell buys them. WHO?!

There is justice though, as the only two bands to have four albums go Diamond are The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
I also think Pink Floyd have two or maybe three

I'm gonna guess that Shaggy, Tony Christie and Band Aid will be in there somewhere...even though I hope to dear god they aren't. -__-

I missed the first 90 because Iv only just put it on, but it's not looking all that good for the top ten so far :gasp:

Well, what a crock of feaces

It's dominated by reality show rejects......

:ffs:

I'll have my tenner now for saying Gates and Young would be the top two :monster:
I actually wouldn't even think about buying any of those singles :gasp:

huh...Ive only heard of about 5 of those songs...and for some reason, Im happy I havent heard the others, if they are as bad as the five I've heard...What is wrong with people these days? You could use most of those songs to tourture people...

It was singles not albums and I'm pretty sure it was best sellers in the UK which is probably why it's full of complete crap and why blueoccult hasn't heard of any of them :monster:

I am ashamed of this list -_-

The band aid was crap, but at least it was for a good cause, so thats kinda of ok for misc reasons.

But the rest of the list is like it is, because, who buys singles? When was hte last time you bought a single? (before i-tunes)

Mostly it's kids, and quite a lot of them like Will Young, Gareth Gates, Shane Ward. Despite how bad the songs are. Someone should find the top100 albums, might be some quality on that instead!

This my friends is the British music taste. I hope that we are all fucking proud of ourselves

I am hurt that any of Sum41 or Rise Against albums are not on there -__-.

HURT I SAY :gasp:
They suck. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

The vast majority of the public. Give the rest of us some credit. D:
Although there is absolutely no fucking way that's a proper list. How can Will Young be number 1? I know he has a lot of fans, but most of us are smarter than that.

They suck. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
+1.

I can understand the Will Young thing cos that was right after the first X factor, which was massively popular, and so both him and Gareth Gates were competing for the No1 spot, so loads of people who watched the show watched it.

And like I said before, single sales have decreased loads in recent years, especially since downloading online makes a farce of the charts anyway. Anyone remember Chris Moyles getting Billie Piper and Honey to the B back in the top 10 after about 10years or something by getting his listeners to download it??

:neomon:

LIEZZ! :gasp:

Is this list true? The sky must be falling!

Although, for Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Outta My Head, I wasn't surprised with that..

I think that song was played in the radio for a whole year. :gasp:

I'm ashamed to say that I own about five of these...

Ah, the musically-challenged days. :gasp:

I am hurt that any of Sum41 or Rise Against albums are not on there -__-.

HURT I SAY :gasp:
They're shit though.

They suck. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
Beat me to it, ya shites.

The appeared on the "Pop Idol", the very first show of its kind in Britain. That's why they were so popular.

I'm happy that S Club 7 were on that list. :neomon:
