Square Enix has revealed its plans for Jump Festa 2013, which will run from December 22nd through the 23rd in Japan.

The company opened its annual Jump Festa teaser site, revealing a selection of titles they will be bringing to the event including titles such as Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX.

Other titles confirmed for an appearance include but are not limited to:

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, 360)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX (PS3)
Dragon Quest VII (3DS)
Dragon Quest X (Wii, Wii U)
Gyrozetter (Arcade, 3DS)

While it has been three months since Lightning Returns was shown to the public, the final chapter in the FFXIII saga will be on display through video only. Titles such as Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD and Dragon Quest VII will be accompanied by playable demos for the first time.

The newly opened Jump Festa portal site makes no mention of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which has been absent from the media spotlight for nearly two years now. The game isn’t expected to reappear until some time in 2013, but it wouldn’t be unusual to see something at the event given past occurrences.

What's wrong, Versus people, why are you so upset? Oh, right, still no Versus. Well, that's a shocker, isn't it?

Ohhhhhhhhh, I see what they did there. The Mayan apocalypse would have taken us by the time the Jump Festa show opens, so in reality, Square won't ever have to show us their wonderful Lightning Returns and we will never be able to see for ourselves in footage form at last how awful/meh/not-too-bad/"holy shit, Raitoringu is the best character, ever!" it is. Smart move, Square.

Okay, in all seriousness, good. I want to see actual footage of your Lightning Returns. I doubt you will show me much and will instead continue to use words as some form of hypnotic technique to influence me into believing your hype and what you want me to think that the game will somehow be the most "polished", or some other PR crap they've defecated onto the internet. And while I don't expect DQX Online to make it over, wouldn't it be piss-your-pants funny - or just tragic - if it turns out that they have no plans to bring KH 1.5 Remix and DQVII over, yet Raitoringu will be guaranteed to make it?

With a bonus disc including a trailer and demo of XIII-4: Hope's Fate.

... What am I thinking that's not even something to joke about. :gasp:

Versus' absence is of no surprise to me in the slightest though. Alot of noise going on that a conference in January is bringing more info on that matter, even then I'm still not getting my hopes up. Getting tired of doing that now actually. -_-

When it actually does see the light of a day I just hope it's the FF I've waited 7 years for..

Ill look at LR but i hope it looks better than xiii and -2. Overall im not excited jump festa

That's a depressing lineup. I mean, an arcade game? They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel, clearly...but then, I suppose you only have to look at the first name on that list to see that.

I don't care for Kingdom Hearts or Dragon Quest, but I suppose they'll bring in the money, and for Square Enix that's all that really matters; it's not like they give the slightest damn about their audience anymore. But all the same, it would be nice to see at least one halfway decent game from them on the horizon...too much to ask for, I suppose.

Who really expected Versus to be on here? Be honest.

That actually sounds pretty awesome! D: I'd love a game all about Hope.

... *cough* >.>;

*raises hand*
:trollface:

Ditto what everyone else has said. Not much substance in this line-up. It's funny how Square-Enix is pushing for something that no one is asking for (Lightning Returns), but ignoring what everyone was anticipating for the longest (obviously FFXIII Versus). Kinda backwards if you think about it. xD;
