...but then, most games are around that length these days. I don't see why we can't have fun AND length anymore, though...

Lurkers. *looked it up on said wiki*
Little buggers just swarm all over you and drain your health ridiculously fast...fire is good for them, but I've kinda stopped carrying the flamethrower around now, in favour of the Force Gun. Keeps things away better :wacky:

Nope...and now I'm getting a refund. Typical. I might just have to shell out for it, because paying for them separately is not an option, and I'm really getting into this series. xD

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what kind of storyline I like either, I just go on a case-by-case basis most of the time. If it holds my attention, I like it, if it doesn't, I don't pay much attention to it. I've been listening to the audio logs as and when I've found them, but I haven't been reading the text logs, if that is any indicator. I've not browsed the wiki yet, in case of spoilers :lew:
How long is the game? Chapter seven sounds pretty far to me. xD
I'm on chapter five in the original...fleeing in terror from the regenerator, who looks like a browner version of the regenerators from Resi 4, surprisingly. I hate midget necromorphs that swarm you...although they DO give me an excuse to use the flamethrower :griin:

I need to do something about my supposed-to-be-limited-but-isn't copy of Dead Space 2...probably tomorrow, since someone should actually be in the office. But if I get a refund...:rage:

Severed is worth playing, then? Awesome, I'll pick that up when the PSN comes back...IF it comes back, anyway. Two chapters is kinda short, but then, if it doesn't cost too much, that'd be why...do you think there will be any more DLC along the same lines in the future, since its that short?
Drill fuel...yeah, that was kinda lame. Just bashing the splicers with it was nowhere near as satisfying as painting the walls with their innards. xD
The Little Sister mechanic was quite good, though...I felt really mean when they started cowering in fear.

There are two, Aftermath and Downfall, that are set in between the games. They're anime films, so maybe that is what they were talking about? I'll let you know if they're any good if I get to them before you~

Ah, I see. I'll play Extraction first before getting that, then. I haven't had the chance to look at the Dead Space 2 DLC yet (I can't believe the PSN is STILL down for maintenance...) but I doubt I'd go for weapon packs...unless one of them is a rocket launcher or a cerebral bore or something. I'm not the sort of person who is out to platinum every game they own, and doing hardcore mode doesn't sound much fun, since I read that you get 3 saves in the entire thing. I'll probably just go for the story DLC.
I just liked screaming "GIGA DRILL BREAKER!" when I ploughed into splicers. It gave me something to do. xD
Playing as a Big Daddy sounded fun, but you were so fragile...I mean, why couldn't we crush splicer heads underfoot like he did at the start? If anything it felt like I was weaker than I was in the first game...

I intend to play through/watch (downloaded the movies) everything in order, so I will indeed be playing Ignition next. Although I'll play Extraction last, since I've already started the first game :sad3:

I haven't, no. That sounds much better, though...after that whole asteroid sequence in Zero-G, and getting smashed into little pieces multiple times, I'm quite irked with the Zero-G feature. xD

Isn't that a separate 2 chapters, or something similar? I'll probably end up buying that if/when the PSN comes back online. I tend to buy most DLC that isn't just some random add-on that should have been in the game in the first place, like weapon packs, etc.
Using the drill was fun, but it was practically identical to the original, only less atmospheric...and for a Big Daddy, you were shockingly fragile...

I just experienced the joy of Zero-G and the vacuum of space for the first time...60 seconds, with two necromorphs on your case. PANIC MODE! :gasp:

I'll...get back to you on that. I just bought the special edition of the second game online - found it cheap - and I got the Ignition for free, so asides from the anime films I'm all set to plough through it. xD
    ;)
It's a shame that I can't say what I'm actually thinking. Such is life. :dave:
Well, I just did the first chapter...first impressions are good. I was more than a little scared when I had to run for the elevator to start with. xD

I'm getting extremely wary of sequels these days...they seem to be very hit-and-miss. Dragon Age 2 and, to a lesser extent, BioShock 2, weren't as good as the original games...but Mass Effect 2 was considerably better. Usually developers seem to fix problems with the old game, but add some new ones in. xD
    Dead Space (y)
I just started playing the first game...I'll get the second if/when I can find a copy of the special edition that isn't an outrageous price. xD
oh ace wel have to try multiplayer. I fnished it on survivalist yesterday, goin through zealot now and its tough D:
Late reply is late. I've been pretty shitty this week, it's one hell of a week I'll say. :gonk:
