Its about a guy with a red paper clip.

He trades it for a pen.

He trades the pen for a doorknob.

He trades the doorknob for a portable stove.

He trades the stove for a generator.

He trades the generator....

Eventually, he winds up with something he trades for a house.

Its inspirational and kind of cool.

I didn't get to the end but I had seen enough to get it, it's a pretty cool idea and fair play to him for doing so well out of it. Some of those people made terrible trades though

Its a 'sculpted' artsy doorknob with a face sculpted into it.

The stove is used and not in perfect working condition. Its not a brand new stove.

Its one of those cheaper, portable, stoves that runs on propane.

Who would trade that for a generator?

Someone who bought a newer, better, generator who doesn't need the old one?

It wasn't a straight trade. :T

He traded the stove & cooked a bar b que meal with it for whoever was willing to make the trade.

In each case he travelled to the place to make the trade which means free shipping & handling costs.

There's also free publicity & advertising from being involved with it, which may have made the snowmobile and other trades pretty even.

I definitely agree the house is ugly, though.

Wow, that seems pretty cool. If the person is willing to accept the trade, why not do it? I know I'd do it. Then slither away like a snake....
