nope... you can only control the leader.. and before u ask XD... you can't even change the party before chapter 10 :wacky:

You dont need to control all 3 characters to have a strategy, thats where your paradigms come in, know your enemys and set your paradigms up right its really easy. The AI reacts really well to whatever role their in, you have to first level them up in the specific role and try out for yourself what abilities they use most and adapt to it.

I agree with this. And I would call it a trash game, rather they are just trying out new systems of battle. I think the system works quite well, though sometimes a little boring, but arnt all battle systems boring after a while?

FFXIII was way too fast-paced to individually command each character in battle.

The Paradigm system is not boring, you have to constantly change and adjust the settings to successfully cope with the different monsters in different areas.

Couldn't have said it better myself. And if you want a specific character to do something, well, specific, stick them in front and manually control them. I used to always have a Synergist or Saboteur under my direct control, as it was quicker and more effective to buff/debuff manually in certain battles.

I never implied that it as a system was boring, rather, after one has played the game enough to understand the mechanics, it is tedious to keep switching between the same paradigms for the lesser groups of enemies.
