ok, so after reading my stratergy guide i found out that the only way to get Wakkas limits is winning blitz tournaments, so this is what happend.

I start blitzball, give ball to tidus use sphere shot and score YAY ME!!! Then it all goes downhill from them, 1-1 1-2 1-3 1-4 half time.

I guess you get the picture, does anyone have any advice, or should i just keep grinding at it to get better?

I used this guide (only for the team members). A few of them you can't get until right near the end when you can go back to previous areas. And to be honest, you really don't need Wakka's over drive moves that early on. I can't remember my old Blitzball team because it was wiped when I tried to reset the tournament to get the Jupiter sigil, but I kicked some major ass with it. I know I had Nimrook as my goalie.

Yeah, one of the fastest (and one of my personal favorites) players you can get is Brother, but you can't get him until you have airship access, which is much further. The Jecht Shot is generally a guaranteed score if you can pull it off.

As an added note, as most would probably tell you, you only need Attack Reels for Wakka, in the damage department it's almost unmatched :gasp:

Also Jecht Shot>Sphere Shot early on and as mentioned above, Nimrook is a beast Goalie, you can get him when you get airship access too.

Once you have the airship, you're able to go back to Besaid and take the boat again. So then you just keep trying the little QTE until you get it.

Also a good way of leveling is just passing the ball back and forth between your players, first half you could get levels easily..

Yeah, you can do this. Now that I think about it, I remember doing that quite a bit xD Once you have Brother things should be much easier because he's the fastest player, meaning you can just swim around the playing field until the guys behind you get tired of following (or are really far behind) and won't hit you when you pass it to someone else (like Tidus for a Jecht Shot) or have him shoot.

If you want experience Ohri's suggestion is the best, best place to do it is up near the opposition goal, whilst they dickin around down your own offensive end.

Each action gives you experience, the "shot"1,2,3 or "pass"1,2,3 give you better EXP as the go up in 1,2,3. Heck even the grip gloves technique gives you 5 points of EXP.

Just play, its a great little game.

I will urge you to not play much Blitzball until you have access to the free agents you want. During the course of playing, free agents will get signed to other teams, leaving you high and dry if you wanted a particular player. This happened to me in one playthrough...I had to wait for several games for Brother's contract to expire. Then again, you'll reach a point where Tidus's SH is so absurdly high that games don't matter anymore.

Jecht Shot is pretty essential, I must say...it's easily your best offensive move and you don't have to go through the rigamarole of learning moves from other players. It's pretty easy to win games with Tidus and a half-decent goalie, but feel free to experiment and try other combinations of players too. :monster:

I agree. There's little point to blitzball earlier on (well, not worth the effort anyhow) so keep it til later and sign the best members before they are snatched up (waiting for ages to get them back..)
