And the British have done it again!

When you think about it, a lot of the actors who play superheroes are British. They're trying to take over America. :rage:

i really need to see the king's speech. i thought inception and the social network were both fantastic films, so it must take something special to have beaten them.

The King's Speech was amazing.

I liked Inception quite a bit, and it had a great cast.
(Channy: it's not an intellectual film, it's really pretty straightforward, it's just the concept you have to understand)

Didn't care much for The Social Network, thought it was very melodramatic and just kind of ended out of nowehere (and why was it so yellow all the time? The whole movie- yellow. And I was PISSED it won best score).

But The King's Speech is just everything. Definitely worth your money. I'm gonna go watch it again.

Inception doesn't require exceptional cognitive abilities, it just requires concentration.

I was hoping Inception would win best score. I loved that soundtrack.

^ It was effective, but not as memorable as Inception. In fact it's that one mellow piano piece that consists of..basically one melody that I can remember. Then again Inception's score played a lot with different sound tricks and effects, which isn't surprising considering Zimmer's reputation. It's also evident that the sound editing and mixing team contributed greatly in that regard, since Inception won in those two categories.
