Help forgot to get rinoa and seifer card from caraway and Cid in Disk 1

You can't get the rinoa card in disk one I dont believe. As for Cid I've yet to find a time where he will actually play cards with you in disc one. The best time to do it isjust before you go to the MD level and transform the garden; surprisingly he will play cards then. The next best time is while you are in FH. You should be able to play him at some poin during your stay there. If you miss all that you can play him again on Disc three but it will be far harder than all the others as the random card rule will be in place.

Anytime after disc One you can go back to deiling city and play caraway for the rinoa card. make sure to have the ifrit card as that is what he wants for it; lose it in a game to him. To get the ifrit card back you need to beat Martine, headmaster of galbadia garden. He is in FH just off to the side of mayor dobe's house. Just go to Deiling after you get control of the garden again.
 
Just as above! but for information, you can get the Seifer card on disc 1 just after cid gives you the magic lamp to get the Diablos GF; at this point you can go back and play cid befor going on with the mission! this is the easiest time to get the seifer card! avoid getting it at Edea's house cause of the ramdom rule (it's bad enough getting the Edea card there! lol).
 
If you are going through the game trying to get all the cards, just refer to an online triple triad guide. What was stated above was 100% correct. Most of the rare should be left for disc three however.
 
You can get alot of the rare ones early on. If memory serves me correctly you can spread the regular rule around and get the Rinoa card on disk 2 and the Seifer card on disk 2 or 3... :hmmm: But either way if you forget it's not that bad :P

You actually can get Rinoa's card in disc 1. You have to play your Ifrit card in game with Caraway and lose it, then play him again and he will use Rinoa. He won't play Ifrit though. You can get it back in disc 2 from Martine outside Mayor Dobe's house in Fisherman's Horizon.

You can also play Cid for Seifer's card (or maybe it's Edea..) later in disc 3 after he and Edea are reunited and are left standing eternally down by the beach at Edea's house.

I'm not gonna say I'm 100% on it, but I am quite confident that none of the character cards are forever lost at any point before Time Compression.
 
No you can get the siefer card as early as the completion of the SeeD mission to dollet?
Certainly you can get when you return from Galbadia and when you smash into Fishermans horizon.

Edea has her own card.

The way Meds describes it is the only way to get Rinoa's card:sad3:

Its also nice to note that if you do the king of cards side quest in the garden you can play the crew in the ragnorak on disk 4. If you are missing any cards then, you can play them. They hold then every secret card in the game. If not then head to the queen of cards who is on an island near Esther. South of it I think. It won't be a location on the map but once you hit the spot you will enter an area.

I would like for someone to actually clarify something for me. Its a question about cards so I'll go ahead and ask it here. I heard that you can refine the face cards and win them back from the queen or king members. Is this true or should I just pop in my final fantasy VIII and test myself?
 
face cards? you mean character cards?:hmmm:

no once you refine them they are gone:sad3: be careful.........if you are playing FFVIII right now that is? I can more cards if need be I have a PS1 exploder, very rare piece of software:D

if you do the whole game there is enough material for everything 100 heroes, 10 holywars,100 megalixirs really what more could you need?

refine the character cards? well, of course, it could ^^ and they have a really good result :ryan:

queen or king members? well, no, I don't really think they could, actually I dunno
I think you should meet and fight Card Queen, you met her first time at Balamb town, in order get it back, or else you could meet and fight his son, ya know, the child in that bone quest, first you met him at Dollet ^^
but it's a little tricky, perhaps

This guy is a champ. This post is the most helpful hint you'll get.

Also i should note that if you've just crashed into FH that Cid will be on the bridge for memory and you can get Siefers card then.

You should also try challenging all the CC members around garden, they have some pretty rare cards.

You can't get back any of the GF or character cards once you refine them. I found out the hard way :(
 
In disk 4, all of the cards will be available even player cards..just look for the Ragnarok ship in Centra ruins then if you look inside the ragnarok, the Card Clubs will be there available to have a card battle with, all of the cards will be available to get even the moded cards (except doomtrain)
