[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Pink Floyd - Summer'68

One of my favourite Pink Floyd song. The music and and lyrics are from Richard Wright, the keyboardist of the band (until 1981). The piano and the lyrics are really beautiful, it a song about a one night stand. It does brings back memories of a girl I have met and the day after she was gone.

here are the lyrics:

Would you like to say something before you leave
Perhaps you'd care to state exactly how you feel
We said goodbye before we've said hello
I hardly even like you, I shouldn't care at all
We met just six hours ago, the music was too loud
From your bed I gained a day and lost a bloody year
And I would like to know

How do you feel? How do you feel, how?
How do you feel? How do you feel, how?

Not a single word was said, the night still hid our fears
Occasionally you showed a smile but what was the need
I felt the cold far too soon in a room of ninety-five
My friends are lying in the sun, I wish that I was there
Tomorrow brings another town, another girl like you
Have you time before you leave to greet another man
Just you let me know

How do you feel? How do you feel, how?
How do you feel? How do you feel, how?

Goodbye to you...

I've had enough for one day

Royksopp- What Else Is There?

10/10. Royksopp is music genius. This song has such an eerie beauty to it, I love it. Its not grating or irritating, but almost soothing in nature. They've come a long way from when I heard one of their earlier songs, Eple. :inlove:

Darth Vader - Dragostea Din Tei

Now combining the "Darth Vader sings ____" gag with the biggest meme-song of 2004-2005.

Enjoy everyone :)
That is awesome. xD

Battlefield - Blind Guardian

I've been playing the heavy metal version of Robot Unicorn Attack too much...but I absolutely LOVE this song! Blind Guardian are very much hit-and-miss with me, but this song is definetely a hit ♥

I just love this song for some reason, i really don't know why but i just do.

Got the album the song's from bout a month ago, i never get tired of the songs on this album. I usually do too, i have a couple of other favorites from it i'll post them later on.

Here are the lyrics to this one

LYRICS:
Tell me again why you're runnin' away
Do you need me?
Nobody's home and there's nowhere to stay
Do you believe me?
Maybe I can't be the man of your dreams
But I can save you
You were never really gone and it seems
That you can feel it too

We won't see the stars
If the sun is in our eyes
So don't look so surprised

Because it's just another reason why a fool like you
Would listen to a fool like me
I'll do what all the idiots around you do
And show you that you'll never be free

You're not supposed to feel this right
One is always better if you can't have two
Now that I am nothing , well I can't have you
You left me once, don't you leave me twice
Cause no one is alone
No one is alone
No one's really alone

Tell me again how I'm on your mind
You're always on mine
And tell me it's really just a matter of time
And I'll believe a lie
I can't see the sun
Because the stars are in my eyes
So don't look so surprised

Because it's just another reason why a fool like you
Would listen to a fool like me
I'll do what all the idiots around you do
And show you that you'll never be free

You're not supposed to feel this right
One is always better if you can't have two
Now that I am nothing, well I can't have you
You left me once, don't you leave me twice
Cause no one is alone
No one is ALONE!
ALONE!

Oh what am I gonna do
You feel so right
Nothing is forever if it can't be true
Now that I am nothing, I have to have you
You loved me once, you better love me twice
Cause no one is alone
No one is alone

Tell me again why you're runnin' away
Do you need me?
Nobody's home and there's nowhere to stay

Enrique Iglesias Feat. Nicole Scherzinger - Heartbeat

One of his more raunchier and sexier songs in my opinion. It's such a heartfelt song, despite the repetitiveness of the lyrics. Nicole's a bonus addition here, her voice blends well with Enrique's and works for the song. I couldn't imagine anyone else being the guest vocalist. It's sort of in between something Enrique and something more modern, which is nice.

10/10

Cage the Elephant - SHAKE ME DOWN

This has got to be one of my favorite rock songs since Sci-Fi-Crimes by CheVelle. This song is just so epic and so powerful. It's been too long since I've heard a rock song have so much soul. They make me proud to live in KY, that's for sure.

This song sold the album for me, and when it arrives I'll be gettin' it for sure.

I ain't a poser either. Knew of them for quite a while now. xD

Blue by a perfect circle

10/10

The mellow sounds of this song always amaze me. I love this song- the metaphors, the beats, and the voice of the lead singer- simply amazing. I think anyone could like this sond

Coldplay- Fix You

10/10. This will always be my favorite song from them...and don't get me wrong, I like a lot of their songs, but this one really touches my heart. I think its about having someone there for you, no matter what, and that really is a beautiful thing. Love Coldplay. Such an amazing song.

Natasha Bedingfield - I Bruise Easily

Been a good long while since I heard it. I like the softness, yet seriousness to the whole thing. Her voice is naturally brilliant and she can sound like she's been at it for years. The lyrics are really deep and meaningful, the theme of an abusive relationship or breaking free from one has always intrigued me in music. And this song is no exception to that rule. It's so relaxed and flows very well.

9/10

I can certainly agree that not every song on "A Night at the Opera" is ZOMG TEH EPICZ, though I personally liked just about every track on "Nightfall on Middle-Earth". Ditto "Imaginations From the Other Side"

Loving their covers too.

Kelly Clarkson - Hear Me

I've grown to really like this and now think it's one of her strongest songs from Breakaway, I'm disappointed it never got released as a single now. She literally screams this song in your face and it's so empowering. She's most certainly got one of the best voices in the industry and this song shows off those vocals.

10/10

:jess: I love all three of these albums <3 I was just listening to a different song, but now I have to look up this one, for it is awesome:

Blind Guardian- "Bard's Song"

BLIIIIIIIIIND, IN THE DARK DUNGEON'S NIGHT!!! :rage: :rage: :rage: Gotta love the passion and romanticism of this song, what an awesome song to emerge from LOTR/Hobbit inspiration :ryan: I especially love the guitar solo in the second half, the way it flows reminds me of a dragon writhing through the air spitting fire :8F: And the first half is enchantingly beautiful. 20/10.

GANG GANG DANCE - Vacuum [click to listen]

On a first listening basis, you'll probably think you're high off of every narcotic available. But I assure you, you're not (or are you?). I remember listening to this song for the first time ever (around a year ago), and it was so mesmerizing, I couldn't stop playing it while doing my assignments at school. It somehow made me concentrate even more, and normally music distracts me from other things, but this song actually increased my focus. This is a song I'll never get tired of .

Oh man I've been wondering if there's a combined version of the two songs out there...

Incidentally a friend of mine once learned/memorized the guitar segment of that song for a talent show. Turned out quite well :3

I can't quite explain it, but there's something chillingly beautiful in this song. Hell, most of Nightfall on Middle Earth (especially the last minute and a half of Noldor (Dead Winter Reigns)) has that feel to it.

DEAAAAAD WIIIINTEEEEEEEER REEEEEEEEEEEEEIGNS....

Radiohead - Jigsaw falling into place

This one is from the In Raibows album. It's almost a perfect album, IMO. I really like Radiohead and I sometimes get really melancholic when I listen this song. It's about a date that doesn't goes the right way. Thom Yorke is a musical genius.

Cake- The Distance

10/10-An awesome song. I used to have a lot of their albums but they somehow got scratched up or lost inbetween moves. Anyways, I heard this on the way to work and it reminded me how much I love their music. This song is naturally about going the distance for someone you love...and its very nice :monster:

Avantasia - The Toy Master

Okay, so Klaus Meine in "Dying For an Angel" was a rather odd surprise. I recognized his voice at the time, but didn't know him by name at that point.

Still, it was fun seeing a classic rock voice in Avantasia.

And then I bought their "Scarecrow" album and heard this song. The lead vocals clicked right away; a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Aerodynamic by Daft Punk.

That's a great track. i love the guitar in it.

Age of love - The Age of love

This is an old trance/techno song that was produced in the early 90's. I was still a kid at that time and I discovered it almost ten years later. Supposedly it's a classic in the genre. I really love it. the song really starts around 2:40 and I almost cried from 3:35 to 5:30 the first time I heard it (maybe I push a bit...) Simply beautiful. It was used later on in the British movie Human Traffic, one of my favourite comedy.
