FFXIV will be the best MMORPG this year？

Here is a reader award for the MMORPG industry in 2010 and the I found it that the FFXIV got a very low votes among many games. Do you think FFXIV is so bad? I think we need to do somethink for it to turn the scale and let people know how nice FFXIV is and will be. :fart: click here ←

So, where is this "award" you speak of.

FFXIV is an MMO, one of Square's many. Sure I give them props for going MMO, but they really don't know what to do when it comes to making an MMO. They should just stick to their roots and keep making core games of Final Fantasy, sure the recent ones suck, but I believe they'll rebound and make it better again with FF Versus XIII.

Im sorry forgot to change the collor of link and now I fixed it.

Maybe you and ANGRYWOLF are right but I still hold this hope that FFXIV can be better and better.;))

Honestly, if FFXIV actually turns out to win an award for best MMORPG of 2010, it shows just how absolutely terrible the MMORPG genre has been this year. Or how few people actually bothered voting. One of the two.
 
I dunno, with WoW coming out the woodwork with new things, you gotta wonder..

I don't like the idea of online FFs having main series numbers (XI, IV). They should be FF Online 1, FF Online 2 and so on

Huh. Well, I suppose if you take a bunch of gamers that enjoy a shoddy targeting system, a broken economy, badly labeled markets, quest grind fest, the inconvienent interface system, ability to only be played decently on high end expensive computers, low amount of content...then sure. It should be ranked higher.

That's all based on reviews and first hand accounts from my friends.

I'm sure it can be a great game, but they kind of released it too early...
And it is really limiting from what I saw.

If they want to get the 5.5/10 increased, they have a long way to go.
Also, the problem may lay in the fact they tried to develop and release the game on PC first rather than a console, which is the reverse for what they did with FFXI.
 
New WoW Expansion, and the fact that in every gaming event such as PAX and E3, FFXIV got owned by Guild Wars 2 in the Best of Show category, it simply isn't happening. FFXIV failed hard, worse than FFXIII, and that's all there is to it.

Hey, at least the soundtrack is amazing, even if the game fails hard everywhere else.
