I need this book. It's called FF7解体真書 in Japanese and Final Fantasy VII Dismantled in English. It's one of the oldest books for this game and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Can anyone help me find info for it? :rage:

But it's just for FFVII? :hmmm:

Anyway, I need this book as pictures or anything. It holds a lot of info.

When I tried to google it, the closest I got was the Crisis Core 10th Anniversary Ultimania, which describes it as a 'complete dismantling' of FFVII..

No, it's not. It's the only info book from when the game came out, so it's really trustworthy.

It does, and it's the only book that was released with FFVII, during the time of its release. It holds a lot of unbiased, honest-to-God truths that was probably changed over the years, things that shouldn't have been changed.

If you find it, lemme know a link so I can buy it too. :3

This book has been mentioned on other forum sights known as: The Complete Dismantling of Final Fantasy VII, i dont think this is the book your on about but this is the only one i could find information on it.
The Complete Dismantling and Ultimania Omega commemorates the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, thoroughly detailing the entire Final Fantasy VII Compilation from every angle, as well as including updated information regarding the Compilation.
however after looking on a few British, American and Japanese sights i couldnt find it anywhere to buy, if someone does find it, please let us know as i am also interested in buying this now.

Thanks, but that's still not it. That's the remade version. I really need the original. Thanks for looking, though, man. :ryan:

....OHHHHHHHHHHH. I know what book this is now, it was just hard to find it under Dismantled. It's usually called Kaitai Shinsho or FFVII Disection, and it's basically a giant compilation of photos and info from the game when it was released.. and now that I know what it is, it's totally easy to find. xD

There's two versions of the book, the blue version which has Cloud on it (which I believe is the original from 1997) and then the rereleased version which is green and has Aerith on the cover (which I think was released in.. 2005?)

If you just go on ebay and type in Final Fantasy VII art book, you'll find both easily.. I think 'Dismantled' was a bad translational title. They're technically 'Disection' books, which is why if you google Dismantle.. You find dick all. :monster:

btw, you're all very welcome. :wacky:

OMG! Thank you Channi!!! That is AWESOME! xD

*goes to buy each*

I will. *rubs hands together* I've already got TONS translated if you ever want to read some. :ryan:

I really apologize for reviving an old thread, but I am in desperate need of finding the monologue translations of Aeris about Cloud from a reputable source. I was wondering if you, Callisto, do have these translations. Specially the one that she had about him in Gongaga. I know that it has been a while, but I am currently replaying the PS1 version of Final Fantasy VII and would appreciate the incite that these translated monologues would bring.

Well, here's the full quote:

Aerith: "I was a little surprised that this village was Zack's birthplace! Although called my first love, that doesn't mean that we became particularly intimate.

I encountered him by chance as a flower vendor in Midgar. It was good for a little while, so I thought. A friendly, childish SOLDIER, who even gave kindness to girls. I encountered Zack and began to think that even a good natured person was from Shinra.

Therefore, 5 years ago, when Zack departed somewhere on a mission and he seemingly disappeared, I cried considerably. Yeah, I call this first love. Mother got angry at Zack when she saw me like that. That matter made him completely at fault.

At first when I met Cloud, I believed he was similar to Zack. Little actions, the way he spoke... his kindness. But Cloud is Cloud. I, now undoubtedly, love Cloud much more than Zack.
But Cloud is clueless.

The translations might sound a little strange, but the person is a new translator so give em credit. ^_^

Dick all? What are u british? Yeah I agree dismantling may have been a poor word choice but that's what google translate gives and doesn't give a "dissection" option. I'm fairly interested now in this book.

I'm Canadian. :mokken:

Cali, did you ever get a hold of both versions? I'm not sure if they're different. I've only got the re-release version.
