Square Enix’s Next Wii Game Is Mario Sports Mix [6/19]

Mario Sports Mix marks the third time Square Enix have worked on a game starring Nintendo’s mascot. The first, of course, was Super Mario RPG. The second was Mario Hoops 3-on-3, a basketball game starring Mario and Final Fantasy characters, for the Nintendo DS.

Sports Mix, while it’s closer to 3-on-3 in terms of genre, is more diverse. So far, we’ve already seen basketball, volleyball and hockey in the game. Whether or not there are more sports in Sports Mix remains to be seen.

Mario is probably the most famous character in gaming EVER, and coupled with a game being available on a console that (as far as I know) has sold more than the PS3 and 360 combined...It's no wonder why S-E is still successful O.O

I'm in the same boat as you. >.> Nintendo/SE is a weird combo for me to accept, even though I know SE came from Nintendo.. it's just.. weird to imagine Mario playing hoops against Squall. I gotta google this shit.

Awesome,I have to admit. Donkey Kong and Wario are my favorites, it will be pretty weird to see a kong and a fat mafiozo to play sports with a bunch of ff chicks. Its successful,a game for family!
