Multiple Platforms Red Dead Redemption

That's seem pretty conclusive to me. The game is going to fucking rock.

Although for a big game like this, there is always the possibility of the reviewers being encouraged to rate the game favourably.

I guess it doesn't matter now. I gave in and pre-ordered it. :mokken: I might play it for one day and then get back to my revision. :sad3:

I went with my friend to go to Gamestop at midnight to get this game (never felt so nerdy in my life) and played it. Honestly, at first, I didn't really have high hopes for this game. But after playing it, I gotta say it's pretty damn fun. I didn't get to do really any of the story. I just went around shooting townsfolk. It's funny when you shoot people of their horses and they just dangle and get dragged around. I did it to one guy and he just smacking against a fence. God, it was hilarious!
 
Killed your mule?! I don't if I can be arsed being stranded in the middle of the wild west without a mule.

Also, can you strap dynamite to your mule? :hmmm: Just wondering.
 
I believe I'll trade in a few games today and pick it up. Now.... PS3 or Xbox360... :hmmm:

Haven't done online but, so far, the story is great.

I hate riding horses :rage: Kept kickin' me off when I tried racing Bonnie :rage: apparently I kept pressing X and I was too fast for the horse :ryan: damn thing. and her horse never did that to her >_>

Then I shot it and lost 'cause i 'assulted' my horse.

I beat her.

So far so good, I'm enjoying it! I finally started making some money when I went after Walton and looting dead bodies. It kinda drags on forever in the beginning I think, but then again I got a bit sidetracked with the horses too. The first time I finally got to use the rifle, had to shoot some bunnies. >.< My daughter was with me and she was screaming, "No don't shoot the bunnies!!!" Lol I felt horrible...

I tried a few online matches with random peeps and I already got called a bitch. xD I didn't do too bad, except I keep applying UC2 controls to this game so I must really get used to it.

Jeff, I tried to accept your invitation but it said there's an error with the connection or something, so that sucks. =/
 
Oh, Im loving the game so far. The graphics are just gorgeous, even on my SDTV, the game mechanics are top notch, and there's so many things I can do already from the get-go. It'll take some time for me to get into the narrative since I've only just left Bonnie's Ranch.
 
Hmm, is it me...or is the text a bit hard to read? =/ I think it's the style of text they used...the letters are all clumped together I literally have to put my face a bit closer just to read it. And I have HDTV cable.

Yeah, I realized that XD. my horse was sooooo slow though :hmph:
I'm just too impatient.

Idunno if it wasa glitch but, she got like... stuck and wouldn't move lmao and i caught up XD. then won.

Well, I have horrible eye sight but yeah, it was kinda hard for me to read xD.
 
Actually text issue is fixed now. I guess I had my Display settings on PSN set on 1080i, and I looked at the back of the game and it says it's 720P, so I set it on 720 and everything is more clear now. :)

And I think I need to stop playing whenever my daughter's paying attention to the game. I was roaming about in the wilderness and I saw this stagecoach that was turned over, the horses lying on the ground. I went up to it and it gave me the option "Skin animal". So curious, I did, and although it didn't show him actually skinning the horse in detail, there were strong implications due to the blood spluttering all over the screen. Then the camera shifts and it shows a skinned horse lying on the ground, with Leilani going, "What did he do to the horse?! What did he do?!" >.<


I'm loving the game though. :busta:

You know we wouldnt kill so many animals if they werent so damn cheap when you sell stuff at stores. :jtc:

Anyone try fast traveling via train and stagecoach yet? Im more inclined to just horse around and admire the scenery (which Rockstar did an incredible job with :ohshit: ).
 
I just simply use my horse xD.
I haven't used the train. I'm sure it cost money and right now, I don't have money :rage:
When you can use a horse that's free :monster:
I do agree though, the scenery is great.

I watch a quick online gameplay clip on the IGN video review. There seems to be like an open map game where you can go anywhere...what is all this about? D:
