This is the end. FFXIV will cap off every last plot hole in the FF series. Darkness will finally be sealed away, peace will return to the land, the last monsters will transform back into cute fuzzy animals, and the legendary knights will fulfill their destiny. RPGs will no longer be a genre of their own, but merely a subtitle for this game and all who are addicted to it. To put it succinctly:

THIS GAME.

WILL CONSUME.

YOUR SOUL.





so, have you all decided what you're going to do with your soon-to-be obsolete copies of FFI-XIII once XVI comes out? Use them as paperweights? Insulation? Museum pieces?
 
Let's just hope you are right about FFXIV being the last.

And wether it consumes my soul is not up to the game, it's up to me.
 
if they're better than the other ones, I'll say bring 'em on.
But Square has been making the FF games a little crappier than the older ones.
Please no more crystal chronicles though, the one for the Wii sucked.

do you really think Square is going to leave it up to you when it comes to continuing your subscription

if you threaten to cancel I can assure you they will have yazuka at your door in no time

this is very serious business, the tragic death of the FF series at the hands of one of their own

And as for this,

I hope the Yakuza don't trip and hit door along their way in.

In other cases,

Ever since FFXII came out and the battle system DRASTICALLY changed, that's when it marked that FF was slowly coming to an end.

BUT WAIT!

FFXIV WON'T BE THE LAST one, There's still FFXIII Versus and FFXIII Agito to come out.
 
those are merely sustenance for the poor folks who aren't able to find a copy of FF XIV right away

real gamers will go right to the good stuff
 
Either that or they just can't come up with anything more original than putting the Title FFXIII and then a bunch of words under it to be used as sub-titles.
 
The FF game to end all FF and all jrpg's AND adult PC games, FFXXX will have everything from gun-toting midgets to evil tentacle-infested otaku to lead females wearing nothing but a single cod-piece in an extremely steamy fashion statement. Let's not forget the now-canon pairing of Cloud/Sephiroth clones, sure to send fangirls everywhere into severe nosebleed-induced spasms of adolescent glee. Ifrit becomes a flaming hot bishounen! Bahamut is an angsty teenager with insecurity issues! Shiva is even more stark naked! It will BLOW YOUR MIND.


FFXXX, COME ON, LET'S GO!!! OHHH YEEAAAAAHHH
 
^Maybe in FFXXX they will fight a censorship organization :hmmm: Random enemies will include black boxes, red circles with lines through them, and ladies' turtleneck sweaters.

They really ought to continue the series though, in all seriousness. They need a chance to redeem themselves again rather than ending it on such a "meh" note. For example, give us one with the story quality of IV and the graphics of XIII, if they can do it in pieces I know they can put it all together.
 
I never really like the mmorpg thing anyways. I might play it i might not. All i know is that XV Better be better than XII and XIII
 
FF XXX that would be great!!

Excellent stuff and I would pay for that in a second..........What do you mean the end of FF did I miss something?

Maybe a new direction or a retooling of the stuff but not the end, what would I do with my time:(. My sou already belongs to another.........my Girlfriend lol....I hope she dont read this!
