We were really hoping this Nier trailer would help answer some of the questions we had about the title. For example, what's up with the two different games? We're getting just one game on PS3 and 360 -- but that game is a 360 exclusive in Japan, with a different Nier game being released on PS3. Why not release both games in the larger North American market? And how will the gameplay be evolved since the E3 demo? Because if there's not some improvement, the number of Nier games may not matter.

It does not answer any of those questions. In fact, we have several more questions after this trailer, which features the voice (but not much else) of the AI partner, Kaine. Questions like "what?"

Ok This has now video whatsoever but it does have some vulagar awesome words. I am really looking forward to this and it might be SE's most mature game yet! :awesome:

I did not expect that at all....

My mum just told me off because she heard the expletives and thought I was up to no good :wacky:

So Nier is going to be 18 rated (though we all know it would be anyway) if it has swearing in it. Interesting swearing though- the voice acting is rather good- though I hope the whole game isn't constant swearing just to please the western audience.

Lmao, I think that's what they're going for, as well as the main character being a meathead.

I think they titled this "nearly no video" just for the pun, because there isn't video footage at all :wacky:

I was really hoping for some gameplay or scenes of some sort.

Wow, I didn't expect there to be swearing in it, to be honest, I can't think of a time where swearing has been used by SE, apart from FFVII, but even then it wasn't serious. xD

Interesting game, I wanna know more about it though. I like the voice acting shown there.

Somehow that really doesn't surprise me. Nier deserves to be mediocre if that's the direction Cavia and SE want to take- swearing over quality- or should that be money over quality?

The pun was nice- I chuckled a little :ryan:

I didn't know whether to laugh or groan at that pun...

Anyways, that voice brings to mind an older, more severe Etna to mind, for some strange reason...although the trailer itself isn't really all that intriguing. Still, at least the voice acting is better quality than some upcoming SE games I could mention...

This, shows the current westernisation of Square-Enix :awesome:
I knew something like that was going to be said, especially have reading a few months ago what was said on one of the previous videos. I'd buy it just to see how well SE could pull off swearing :wacky:

I laughed xD

I hope that the majority of the game won't be filled with random cuss scenes though. Although I do wonder who this woman (is it a woman?) was. Given it's in English, I'm inclined to think this is a scene from the meathead version of the game.

It's generally a lot of blood, but actually the storyline is somewhat mature (don't expect Heavy Rain) what with the main guy having to save his sister or daughter (depending on if you buy PS3 or 360 version - I know, I hate it too, you have to get both to understand the whole story though. :/).

In regards to your comment Fusionist, they're developing the same game with a slightly different storyline (and characters), but I'd assume the other parts will remain the same, and the 360 has a meathead protagonist probabaly to match other 360 games like Gears of War. =P

I like that Square Enix are taking a stand and evolving, I mean since Eidos has been purchased, the company really have made a turn, but if you actually look back... they were planning making new IPs and adding excess swearing into their games long ago.

I'd enjoy it though to be honest, it has beautiful voice acting (I typically have found most of the female voices in SE games to be better than the males), and I'm glad they're experimenting in new areas, I would really love to see them take on different genres and appeal to mass audiences... which would really boost their other games sales (perhaps they're doing this to show that FF14 would be a plausible WoW competitor).

18 plus rated? I think it will be 17 plus for Mature but not adult only. I mean blood does not offend me gore depends on what kind of gore. If I see a head rollin down the stairs I will scream. I imagine this havin sexual content too as the girls ass can be seen xD
