I'm not a huge fan of introductory threads. They tend to be retarded and all the same bunch of "Hey doodz I'm new" compiled into one sub-forum, and every now and then you'll get the great personality who mistakes themself with a Sophic and describes every aspect of their life in the greatest detail. I've been around my share of forums for years, and still, the worst part about joining any one of them is this. I have issues with making myself known, especially in real life, so going out of my way to tell people that I exist on the internet isn't too thrilling. Yet I feel compelled to, so when I start posting, people don't see me and think "who the hell is that?"
