I've been getting a lot of rep from people lately (most positive, a few negative) but I have a request to make. I appreciate the support of the people who like my posts... and I don't really mind people who negative rep me to keep my rep down. The rep fad has gotten a little crazy but it's good that people are finally using the feature.

However, I enjoy the rep system solely because it truly allows me to know which posts of mine are enjoyed by people here. I like making good solid posts with lots of detailed and defensible opinion. I don't care about the amount of rep power I have. I'd much rather just be repped for my truly great posts because when I do put the time and effort into making them, a rep as a compliment is greatly appreciated. I just feel like me being repped for every little offhanded comment as a way to commend my general "Azzy" attitude is a bit much. Please just rep me if/when I make a truly outstanding post that demonstrates my knowledge or unique opinion of an issue. I don't want or need to have a big rep power just for the sake of having one.

If any moderator has the ability to delete rep, I have a list of my current 20 that I would like deleted (both of positive and negative rep) for posts that I do not feel deserved either. Thanks.
 
Aztec you did not rep me back. Yeah I agree with no name we should have the ability to disable it. Aztec your posts are good and you deserve all the reputation you need.

Thats kinda the point some are making. You shouldnt add rep to someone merely because they gave it to you.
It should be used for posts which are well thought out and show a general high quality.
I find it irratating when you see terrible posters with high rep :wacky:
Mine is higher than pooleys and while i say im not a bad poster. His posts are of a high standard usually.

lol No one needs rep. I'm not looking to give the wrong impression. I like the rep system and I do think it's nice to rep other people and get repped. I just don't want to be repped unless I actually earned it. The way I see it, if you rep me for every stupid post I make, it only takes away from the importance of my great posts.
 
On some of my old forums I was on we had the ability to disable rep.
We could also get rep banned for over use of the rep. :gasp:

The rep here was disabled but for everyone. not just one person.
Also the you have posted too much rep in the last 24 hours is a rep ban of sorts, is it not?

Dude, I saw you posting this line all over the forums! Come on, what's with you?!! Do you actually care about this rep? Why the hell do you need them?

Here's a free advice for the future....If you kept asking for rep, everyone will start saying be careful "Here's the rep bitch". Please dude, keep it down ;) ....Hope we become friends by the time :)

I've always enjoyed how you shorten usernames when quoting, bo doubt if you quote me I'll become TYK xD

Nah. I haven't been around much recently so haven't got a clue on what the big fuss is about, but coming on one day and seeing some people with two orange boxes and then a couple of days later seeing same persons with 4 orange boxes is abit silly. Maybe you all should make the same effort to pleasure your other halfs just as much as you rep. Make love not rep.
