Major RPG Updates

I, and pretty much all the 'usual' RPG players who frequent this thread understand your situation and know you haven't had much time recently.

In my case I wasn't complaining and I apologize if I sounded like I was doing it, I was "trying" asking a question, on why there is only one RPG Mod active unlike in the past, excluding you.

Lastly, Good luck on your Finals.

Julius Ruka said the same thing I am thinking.
You are a GM even if it still says you are a mod to this your responsibilities as a GM takes priority.

But while you are here, hope you luck with what is absorbing your time.

As for the testing you can have a select few people test the upcoming areas. I know Ruka would love that.

Don't worry about not being that active... I think we all understand.

As far as I know... only few people are really that far in the RPG... so there you have your 'select few'.

*Points at Ruka*

You don't need further searching, or may be you do...

Anyways, hope you have good luck with your finals Julius.

With this, I'll go back into the RPG.

*Hops back into the RPG*

I could test any un-tested area's considering i am probably the best mage walking the RPG right now. i could test it from a mage point of view then Ruka from warrier i think he is then could get a high level assassin to test it from the third (i think Dark jecht is an assassin)

You are correct. I am/was an assassin.
Julius it would be easy to limit who can go into the areas by making an item called Tester's badge and requiring it to get into a in test area.

that is a good idea Dark jecht, if you make 3 and hook Ruka, DJ and myself up with one we shall give your new area's a test run

It is an idea I have ran into from many forums. they will choose enough people to determine all they need to know and at the end of the testing any items or abilities they received that have been removed gets removed from them also.
The item is something that I learned about from experimenting with the demo.

I can't go online normally at the moment - my main computer's graphics card has stopped working, my other computer won't connect to the internet, and I have a few other problems. I'm using my father's work laptop right now if you're wondering. (I shouldn't be though) As soon as things are sorted out, I'll be back.

Ooh... mods break rules too! Cool!
Well I'll try to lay off of Zargabaath because he has somethin' or other to study for. But where did the RPG Suggestions Thread go? I can make a new one if you're too busy.
I don't really think stripping testers of whatever they get from the tested area is fair. They should get something for their work.

It hasn't been renamed but it is suppose to be "power to the people." (It is Ruka, SSB, Kira, and my fault that it didn't get used much mainly cause we kept on posting here.)

Well what? Everyone else (or at least most of the more active RPG Players) were posting here, so I was as well.

So we should be making these kind of posts in the Power to the people thread from now on?

I guess, but I remember there being an RPG Suggestions Thread in the RPG Cafe. If so, maybe Power to the People should be renamed so that it won't be confusing.

Guys, upon considering many factors I have decided to go back to the RPG Director Position. I did had in mind a definitive resignation but seeing that such would be so unfair from my part (especially for you members) I stayed. So while at it I will do some reorganization of this area, clean some of the mess and have this section nice and tidy. After that I can focus on the game.

I have also considered seriously a game reset, but that wouldn't be fair, would it? In all senses, I've lost all notion of what has been done in the current game after being promoted to Global Moderator and stepped down and reassigned to the RPG Director Position, so it might take me some time to grasp it all.

That is good news, and don't fret it, take your time to see what has been done to the RPG while you were in your Global Moderator position.

And I support whatever you decide is best...if resetting would be good, I'll be okay with that, even if I have come a long way and have my own spell that I wouldn't have back in the next RPG (if it were to be reset)...

If a reset would makes things better, that is the way to go. Just have a Christmas Town added early on that will be around for a little while so players could get leveled up to reach the requirements of some nice spells, enchantments, Attack Type(s), etc. ;)

But I obviously won't be complaining if this current RPG is left up, and improved on, since it already has quite a few accessible areas, spells, equipment, components, attack types, enchantments, and so forth (Oh! And there are Pets!). :D

I am actually waiting for the end of the year reset to come by. Due to the fact we seem to be close to the end and last year it happened also.

Maybe a fresh new start would be a good idea, I would just like to know whether it is going to happen for sure or not, so I can be braced for it, whether I should be working on my RPG Character much more right now, or if it is just going to be undone in a matter of days or weeks. :P

I had in mind adding a fourth class. Summoners right from the start. Summoners would only focus on defense and support spells to keep their pets alive. Pets would be their major powerhouses and yes, pets would be worth to train and fully reliable. Classes will be established right from the beginning but for such I need to do a little reset >__>

I would delete every single area and keep only the ones made by Gabranth for team competition like the Olympus Colosseum.

So technically, on the first stage you would have to decide between the following:
1) Knight: Uses heavy swords and heavy armour. Boosts great STR, DEF, and DEX but lacks Magic and SPD. Has average Magical Defense. Uses Broadswords, Shields, Medium Swords, Axes, Hammers and Spears.
2) Sage: Relies solely on magic to and armours to back up it lacks of STR and DEF. Has average SPD, boosts average DEX. Uses staffs, scepters, daggers, Magical Swords and Scythes.
3) Assassin: Relies purely on high speed, evasion, and dexterity to outmatch his/her opponents, and although it has low Defense and STR, this class permits dual wielding. Spells boost EVA, SPD and stats changing spells.
4) Summoners: Can use the strongest of pets. Although it lacks powerhouse offensive, it pets can back up this loss with pure power. This class can use support spells that focus on keeping the pet alive as well as spells for MP replenishing.

All classes have the option to obtain a pet, although it will be later on in the game. The pets however, will not be even near as strong as the Pets used by Summoners.

1) Knight's Pets: Supports knights with STR, MAG DEF, and DEX increasing spells as well as Healing Spells.
2) Sage's Pets: Supports Sages with MAG, DEF, and MP Replenishing Spells.
3) Assassin's Pets: Supports Sages with EVA, DEX, and DEF spells as well.

Seems like you have this planned out pretty good, so I assume the RPG will be reset soon, therefore I will stick to posting in the forums themselves until it is reset and everyone starts anew.

I'm almost hoping it will be reset now, and I am positive it will be, so I am excited now, everybody will be at equal level to start in an all new start for the RPG, which I will be here for the very beginning of, unlike this latest one, I joined it when it had already been around for a while, and now more than half a year has passed since I first came here, eyes on that RPG, and excitedly checking out all the forums here.

Good times. :monster:
