Why do you dress up a certain way? Are you aiming to appeal to a certain crowd? Do you dress that way just because you like it? Also how do you dress yourself? Or you just dress that why because you it's attractive?

I dress rather conservatively for my age, more as if a normal 26-30 woman would dress up. (Polo shirts, blouses, designer jeans.) The reason why I dress that way because I want to be represented as a mature person and above people my age. I also do want to be looked at, I have a boyfriend, so I rather be left alone. Also I don't want to be label to any crowd. I am my own person, and I dress that way because I feel secure and comfortable.

I hate wearing skirts and slutty shirts, it just seems rather trashy to me and it's asking for: "HAVE SEX WITH ME!" The thought of being look at as a slut disgusts me. I also don't wear skirts due to fear of men trying to look up.

Hmm, back in high school I actually dressed much more maturely as well. I was only 16 and people were mistaking me for 22. My peers said I dressed pretty casually and even though I'd dress in jeans and a black sweater, they'd say, "You always dress so stylish". Lol now I'm thinking they were probably being sarcastic. xD

But anyway, as of now...erm, I don't really dress to impress anyone. Actually I just put on my usual jeans and blouse and...that's basically all. It's Ohio...the environment is VERY different from California. I cared about how I dressed...and now I don't even give a second thought about it. -Shrugs- Maybe because I work at a daycare center and it really wouldn't be wise to dress in your very best clothes when working with toddlers. And of course, there's really nowhere to go to here. The mall's about 45 minutes away so we hardly go out.

...There's Wal-Mart though...just a minute away from us. xD But even then I don't dress to impress the people shopping at Wal-Mart. Hell no.

Um, I dress pretty casually. Usually it's jeans and a t-shirt, or sometimes my cargo pants and a t-shirt. I have like 20+ shirts, but I don't really see a need for any other sets of pants or fancy outfits, certainly not trendy expensive shit like hot topic scene clothes or abercrombie preppy clothes. In the winter I'll toss on a leather coat.

Actually I want to know just how the hell polo shirts and short pants that look like boxers became trendy. Seriously, preps dress like old men.

Well since I'm in high school, I try to dress in whatever the latest fashion is. I shop mostly in stores like American Eagle or Aeropostle, although I can shop at stores like Dilliards or Kohl's just as easily ^^

On to what I actually wear though.. Most of the time I just wear a T-shirt, jeans, and this brown pair of shoes I have. I rarely wear skirts, despite the fact that I have tons of them in my closet :gasp: I also have tons of shoes, but I usually just stick with the brown pair I mentioned because they go with almost anything.

To answer your question though, I dress the way I do because I like it, and because I like fitting in. I'm not the type of person to wear clothes that make a statment or make me stand out in a crowd.. I just want to blend in with everyone else.

It's probably just a reaction against all that black/rap shit. I don't know about America, but here it was cool for everyone to dress like a rapper, you know wearing daddy's shirt that goes down to their knees, bandanas all that kinda shit.
But then everyone realised jungle fever is gay, and started to dress like white people, and you can't really get much whiter than polos. However I could be totally wrong:wacky:

As for me, I'm the epitome of casual:monster:
I have one or two shirts, but probably 30+ T-shirts, a lot of them band ones.
I wear jeans I have one tie which I use less than once a year.
I also have a pair of cheap three inch stilettos which I wore when three friends and I went to a fancy dress party as motley crue.

Kohl's ftw, they always have sales going on :neomon:

Pfft, people dress in that rap shit here too. Black people actually won't take the price tags off their clothes now, I do NOT know why. Are they going to wear them for a month, then take them back? Polos and boxers with pockets in them could very well be the answer to that.

I'm not really all that bothered with clothes, but that doesn't mean I have standards.

I'm a creature of habit, so you're likely to see me were the same attire over and over again :elmo:

I like my jeans, a t-shirt and a jacket, but not really fussed as to what kind though, but when it comes to shoes, I must have my converse sneakers or I will catch on fire on the spot

Weather affects my dressing decisions the most. I'm not concerned with impressing a certain group of people, but I am concerned with being comfortable. During summer, I pretty much wear nothing but athletic shorts and t-shirts. When winter rolls around, I'll turn to hooded sweatshirts and jeans.

I wear clothes depending on my mood really. I generally just wear jeans ans a vest top -like totally my staple outfit there- But if I feel like it I might stick a pair of killer heels with them, or if Im feeling lazy I'l just get the trainers out....which I think need a run round the washing machine

I do love to dress up though, any excuse to wear a nice frock or get the summery skirts out, weather has not been so kind recently though If I'm going out I'l just go all out and usually get some party clothes out

I don't really dress to impress other people, it just depends on how I'm feeling really but I don't like being looked at for looking a mess any more than I like being leered at so maybe I do to some extent xD

I don't bother dressing up just so I can make a good impression, otherwise who knows how much time I'll have to spend in front of a mirror and I'm not the patient type.Plus clothes that are supposed to be in today's fashion are really uncomfortable for me.
Casual clothes,Yay!!!
Except in special events that I'll dress up nicely.

Comfort plays a huge role for me in what I wear. I personally hate wearing alot of clothes, it feels constricting and my skin can't breathe. I can't stand tight clothes, and I can't stand wearing multiple layers in winter. That's why I'll still just wear jeans or cargos and just add my leather coat to the mix, it's thick enough anyway to keep me warm.

I think probably the last time I wore shorts was 2 years ago or more. Somewhere along the line I developed a distaste for them. It might have something to do with preps and their love of wearing shorts. It looks really tacky alot of times too, imo, especially when wearing polo shirts with them. Althletic shorts I would wear in a gym or something, but it just gives off a lazy impression to me when people wear them in other public places, so I avoid those. I don't try to impress people, but I don't want to come off lazy or sloppy either.

Shirt
Short Pants(not Basketball Short Pants =P)
Socks
Sneakers

I'm not a finicky dresser, I dress that way because its comfortable, and its what I like. I don't dress to impress, or to follow some silly trend. =) I wear what I like.

I normally get my jeans/shirts and stuff like that from somewhere like the Officers Club, Next, Topman etc. I'm not really all that bothered about what's in fashion it just happens that the shops I get my clothes from I like the look of and suit me. =]

I decide on what I wear solely based on what I think looks okay on me. I don't really see the point in following trends, especially as most of them look ridiculous. >_> If you ask me, something being in fashion is all the more reason not to wear it, because then you're just dressing like all the others. D:

Anywayyy.. I wear skirts/shorts and tights a lot.. not because I want attention or anything, just because I like how they look. I don't know when the last time I wore full-length trousers was. o_O
As for tops, I have a couple of blouses and some tops in different colours and styles.. but one thing I hate is clothes with words/pictures on them. >< I prefer my tops to be self-coloured or stripey or patterned..
On my feet I'll either wear vans/converse or dolly shoes, or boots in the winter.

I've been told that I dress like a French exchange student a lot. :wacky:

I like to dress comfortable. I will pretty much wear anything if it just looks nice. I actually like to wear graphic tees the most, like ones from Hot Topic. I love jeans and sweat pants, that is just decided on how I feel when I wake up.

I just need to be comfortable, and at least feel like I look cool, but not comfortable to the point where I look like a bum.

I usually wear jeans, t-shirts, long socks and flat shoes (pumps or Converse). My t-shirts tend to have some random picture/slogan on them, usually either in a geeky or indie style. It gets me noticed because no one else has my style (mostly because I buy my shirts online rather than going into the nearest Topshop or New Look).

I very rarely wear skirts (only if my jeans are in the wash) or dresses (only when forced for formal occasions), but if I do, they have to be black, I must have black tights/stockings/long socks with them and I wear gothicesque platform heels/brogues. I can never go bare legged in public because I hate my legs that much.

I think the reason I dress the way I do is because of comfort, and the fact that I've been dressing like this since I was a teenager, and my thoughts on fashion is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Neh, I just dress the way I like to, if I get dressed then I look in the mirror and I like what I see then that's what I'm wearing ^_^
I'm not going to waste my time trying to appeal to a certain crowd because that doesn't really work with me that and I find it wrong.
