The whole Jenny thing confused me a little :confused:

Maybe they go back in time or something to try and stop the doctor from getting shot? I dunno but it seems pretty impossible that the Doctor's regeneration would keep his appearance the same, I just wanna know how they get around it.
 
They wouldn't be able to do that. Crossing timelines and all that is prohibited. Especially when it's pointless, since he's technically not even dying.
 
May I also mention something about Rose?

I loved that she's different from last week. Her hair's back like it used to be, her accent is finally normal and she somehow sounds like the vulnerable companion she once was at times.

And I was really hoping that
the Doctor would pick up the phone and speak to Rose
or
that the fourth screen would be Rose, not Martha.
 
Dalek Caan made me 'lol'.

Only one thing actually confused me however and that is how Davros is back to how he used to be originaly when all he should be is a head :confused:
 
Missed last nights episode, so going to try and watch it on BBC3 tonight. Im making sure next weeks is not being missed though!
 
Good point about Dalek Caan, he apparently went back to the Time War and saved Davros, according to Doctor Who Confidential. And because of the experience he went through, he started to feel these strange emotions, which explains his strange behaviour in the episode. Oh, and Sapphire, you could always watch it on iPlayer if you can't wait.
 
You gotta remember... as good as the continuity usually is with this new series, some things are always laughably off... the fact that the Doctor apparently hasn't aged a year since he was played by Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy (who both used to say he was 900-something years old) is one of those laughable things... sometimes, not often, but sometimes, they are just plain odd, though... like Davros having a body again... but, anyway... thats all beside the point.

I find it remarkably interesting that a time lock was broken in the first place... that introduces all sorts of ideas... like... what if the Doctor could go back into the Time War and change his actions? Or what if he could go way back, and have his fourth self destroy the Daleks in their infancy, since he had the opportunity to do so? So many questions... so few answers.

Blah... anyway... I loved the new episode, and I can't wait for this Saturday's finale. It is sure to be amazing with everythign that has been set up, and its sure to be absolutely brilliant fun...
what with two David Tennants and all

In Rememberence of the Daleks (Sylvester McCoy) he has completly replaced his body and is pretty much just a head. This is way long before the Time War begins and Caan saving him. Wouldn't be so bad but it was flesh from his torso that was used to make the new batch of Daleks so it just seems as one big retcon to have them return again.
 
Actually, many people do think that
the Doctor will split into two!

Twice the fun for us! :P
 
I was well annoyed when the Doctor got done over by that Dalek, all I wanted to see was a great big hug :gasp:

Can't wait for next week (I keep saying that :grumpy:) I wanna know what happens to him, isnt he supposed to be in it for another season? :gasp:
 
David Tennant has a contract that goes out through 2010... it doesn't require they use him, but it does require they pay him... so the BBC would have to be utter fools to kill him off... besides, he's been confirmed to be in the Christmas Special this year and the 3 TV "movie" specials next year.

Also... here is some information that should help people know when a new Doctor is coming:

1) There has never been a regeneration from one Doctor to another that didn't show the new Doctor after the regeneration. Hell, the only one that didn't utilize both actors was Colin Baker to Sylvester McCoy, since that took place at the beginning of an episode rather than at the end, and COlin Baker was not willing to return to shoot a 30 second sequence... also Paul McGann was never shown to regenerate into Christopher Eccleston, but that doesn't count as it was NEVER SHOWN.

2) Since Jon Pertwee was replaced by Tom Baker, there have been reports of the Doctor being replaced long before it happens, usually about a year or so... the shortest amount of time was when Colin Baker was replaced, but even then, it was reported a good 6 months before the first Sylvester McCoy episode aired... hell, David Tennant was announced as the tenth Doctor before the first episode of the new series, with Eccleston as the ninth, had even aired.

3)Pay attention to the stories with said Doctor... River knew the Tenth Doctor, but had never met Donna... need I say more?

Anyway... so yeah... Tennant ain't going anywhere,... and in fact,
the whole splitting in two thing is not just a rumor... it is actually what is going to happen
... it will be a Superman situation...
there is going to be a brown suit Doctor and a blue suit Doctor, much like there was Superman Red and Superman Blue

Epic, completely and utterly EPIC! I must admit, this episode was one of the most amazing of the entire series. The ending was just so saddening as well. Honestly,
the whole hand thing was just EPIC, two doctors! And to think they are BOTH still in existance, I would have thought that the blue suit one would die or something but not live and stay with Rose
T'was amazing yet sad.
 
Yeah... it had me on the brink of tears for the last 10 minutes... it really was just... wow.
 
I thought the series finale was fantastic! I loved how
Rose and The Doctor finally got their own happy ending, kinda, but it was written so it pleased fans of The Doctor/Rose, and left the series to continue.
I thought Catherine Tate was at her best playing Donna too and
I'm really going to miss Donna, I was starting to really like her. Although I guess her losing all her memories of The Doctor fulfilled Dalek Caans prophesy that "The most faithful companion will suffer an everlasting death" Although, I wouldn't have thought that to be referring to Donna really =/

Great finale! Thing is now they have to make up a stupid idea for the Daleks to return again....

Bring on the Cybers at Christmas!!! :D
 
I <3 Docter Who. Well atm.

My dad was watching a new episode a few days ago. It was epic :monster:

It was teh one where The Doctor crashes into the 'Titanic' Spaceship thing. And
All the angel robots try to kill everyone and the captain purposely crashes in the meteors.
 
I was disappointed with the finale. It was average, boring and cliched. The basic storyline of "the world is facing oblivion, the Doctor is the antagonist's prisoner, then manages to save the world while losing a companion in the process" has been used for the last three series' now. It's lost its appeal.
Also two problems with the "regeneration": firstly,
if the Doctor believed that his little stunt with the hand would destroy the TARDIS, how is that the greater alternative to merely regenerating?
And secondly,
the new Doctor who was created and stayed with Rose would technically be a human Time Lord, no? So how is it that he could survive that existence, whereas Donna can't?
Also,
the "Doctor Donna" thing was a shit plot device and should be forgotten about entirely. And I'll bet anything that she'll be back in a couple of years, find out about her forgotten past, but it won't kill her because she's even more super special than anyone realised.
I had hoped that Davros was going to reveal the Doctor's true name at the end, but at least that's going to be an interesting one for the future.
