Doctor Who

I didn't really think much of this episode, it was ok but I dunno it just seemed abit of a let down

The last 5 minutes were really good and it did have it's moments.

I just hope that next week doesn't dissapoint me. And I spent the whole episode wanting to slap Donnas mother -__-

Roses voice really pissed me off for some reason, it just seemed weird =/

It was a pretty good episode though, it kept me on edge. Rose was a bit...boring after all that hype around her.

Next weeks episode looks good, but, my friend is livid that Torchwood characters, (other than Jack) are going to be in it. As she says "You don't cross spinoffs!"

It reminded me a bit of the episode Utopia in the last series. OK, but not amazing, but with a sudden jolt in the last few minutes to leave you wanting next week's episode now. Hell, it even had the alien lady from that Utopia episode as the fortune teller this time! (I swear it was her anyway)

The episode was OK, though that whole 'Sliding Doors' thing with one choice having a large effect has been done a fair bit before.

I'd agree there, but so far Jack has been a decent character in the past series'. Too many people returning like that will ruin it though, I think.

I didn't think much of it myself. It was pretty dull until Donna went with Rose. I liked the build up to Bad Wolf all over again.

Made sure I watched it today on BBCi otherwise knowing me I'd probably forget until end of the week. Episode was ok, and its last 5 or so mins were awesome. Sets up the 2 part finale very well. Think the amount of returning characters is abit over kill tho...

I actually liked the episode. It was fair to have a Donna central episode when there was a Doctor central episode before that one. I'll agree it was a bit dull until she went with Rose. But Rose appearing made it a decent episode.

Ianto and Gwen are definitely in the next episode! Didn't you see the "Next Time . . ." preview? So are Sarah Jane and Martha as well as Mickey and Jackie!

There are only two more episodes left! :P

I actually disagree with the latest string of comments. I thought that this episode was simply outstanding. This entire series has been really lacklustre for me personally (not because of Donna - just the story choices and acting in general), but this amazing episode has revived my faith and interest in the program. It was emotionally charged, well-acted, the return of my favourite companion, and with tons and tons of references to past episodes.

Everything inter-connected so well, giving us a true glimpse of what Earth could descend into without the Doctor. I thought that Catherine Tate's performance was outstanding. Billie Piper was great as her 'guide', though you could see that she was struggling to get back into the character (at the start) but warmed into it by the end - giving me the Rose that I love. With events dropping into place, the next set of episodes are set to be first-class! We have the entire gang present ... simply wow!

I'll agree you with the whole Rose thing. She did seem to be struggling to get back into character, but it was interesting to see her in a new light at the same time.

Well, my gran said that maybe it was because she was pregnant. But these things were finished at the end of April. That's when filming finished. It finished just as it started on our screens.

Oh my god!!! I just finished watching todays episode, please don't say David Tennant is leaving :sad2:

I doubt he is. The next series has been postponed until late next year due to Tennant joining the RSC this year. They've filmed a few specials to fill in the gap. They wouldn't do that if a certain man wasn't returning to play the Doctor. There'll be some sort of glitch or catch to his regeneration I think.

Other than that, it was a bit of a crap episode. It set the stage nicely for next week's though.

I hope you're right Juliet.

I think it was a good way to finish the episode actually, but when they were running towards each other I was thinking 'how far apart were they?' and I wasn't suprised at what happened after that.

Some of the pace and content felt slightly off *, however the sheer wealth of fan-service (and good fan-service at that) combined with the simply overwhelming situation more than made up for the problems and made this an awesome episode indeed.

I thought that Jack's hand-teleporter was a technical malfunction due to the technology being from the future and not some simple 4-9 base code. That felt really poor to me. Not to mention that he simply LEAVES his team there to die. I thought that was really bad characterisation for him, since I felt that he wouldn't leave his team again, not since the first time, and ESPECIALLY not since losing two core members of the group! I really hated when he did that.

I heard that Tennant was staying for the 4 specials in 2009, but will leave at the end of the last special, so that, when the main show returns in 2010, we'll have a new Dr. So yeah, really intrigued as to what is going to happen to stop things in next week's episode.

I really don't want David Tennant to leave though  but I wonder who the next Doctor will be?

I loved
Rose's comments when she was watching the secret allies talk on the satellite thingy.

But I'm devastated at the ending, including when
the Doctor and Rose's reunion, which was cut short by the Dalek shooting him!
How dare it!

I don't think David Tennant's leaving. I think that
he may just pull a Jenny!
Or it may have something to do with
Rose and the Bad Wolf.

I dunno why but there is summit that annoys me about Rose now, I can't put my finger on it

I wonder how he can pull a jenny?

He shouldn't be able to do anything like "a Jenny", since she only managed it out of not being pure Time Lord, I think.
The fact that they're in a rift of time and space might prevent him from dying, or something to do with how Rose has been crossing universes?

maybe, Dr Who will become Consultant Who? (it would be Super Dr Who but then consultant came up lol)

his daughter might return also...
