OMFG i hope you guys are excited as i am:wacky:

Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am has been selected to star in the next cinematic installment of the 'X-Men' saga. The movie, titled 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine,' will be filmed in New Zealand, Australia and New Orleans under the direction of Gavin Hood.

The rapper will play Wraith, a teleporting mutant who is also a subject in the Weapon X program created by the lead character Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). Ryan Reynolds and 'Friday Night Lights' star Taylor Kitsch are also set to star as Deadpool and Gambit, respectively.

Yes it's in the wrong section, but someone will move it for you soon enough. ;)

Oooh, I haven't heard any news regarding this yet. I was wondering when they'd show Gambit! He's probably one of my favorite characters in X-men.

Just did a quick search: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458525/

Hmm, Deadpool...I forgot who he is. =/ I like Ryan Reynolds though.

Guuh, I dislike Wolverine. I'd much rather they just make a new movie with more cool mutants like Gambit and Jubilee and others.

Omg. Gambit is going to be super hot. <3. lol.

They better do this movie right.

I wonder if the same Sabertooth will be in this movie as in the first movie. Hrmm..

They are actually supposed to be making a Storm spin-off as well. Sooo, yeah.

I apologise for maybe making an example of someone, but I really hate it when folk will write off a perfectly good creation purely because it's a spin-off and when they "don't think it's going to be good." Let's face it, you're going to go and see it and you'll likely buy it when it's released. xD

Deadpool was also a victim of the Weapon X scheme. He's the teleporting ninja, if you'd agree with such a description. He likes his guns, too.

Oxymoron, there? xD

Oh lawd. Not all these spin-offs/pre-quels. *sigh*

I am sure that one out of the many will be good. haha. That Will-i-Am guy...I dunno if he's a good actor. We'll see.

I'll see them all just to see if they're good or not. Haha.

Plot seems decent. I wonder how this'll all turn out, really.

How in the hell do you have Gambit in the movie and not Rogue? LAME!

:omg: Someone just pointed out where this was to me, xD I thought Mitsuki already moved it. My bad.

I'll shift this over to the correct section now xD

While I think the Wolverine movie will be good, it'll probably be too action-based for my liking, I'm far more excited for the Magneto movie. Especially since Ian Mckellen is superb, and we'll probably see more Mystique! ^_^

* eyes Dave * What! They are cool!

They need to make Rogue have a better actress. With giant curly white and red hair. And green and yellow spandex. And a southern accent. :D

But really though, they should just make a movie with an Apocalypse storyline. I would probably die from joy. :3

Wasn't the Apocalypse theme from the Second X-Men game? Hrmm, I think so. "Rise of the Apocalypse" haha. Good game, actually.

Rogue, they needed to have her a bigger role. They nummed down her powers so freakin' much. UGH!

News!

Dominic Monaghan has signed on to join the cast of the latest X-Men movie, starring alongside Hugh Jackman.

In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the British actor and ex-Lost star, will play Barnell Bohusk, a former military ally of Hugh's character, whose own mutation gives him the power to harness energy and electricity.

Where do you think the game came from, haha? He's an original character from the original series.

Revived!

So I just saw the movie and I think I'll go as far as stating that I liked it better than the three X-men movies so far. No kidding. But then again I don't really remember much from the first, second, and third movie...still, this movie is a must-see for X-men fans out there. It has a very serious theme and Wolverine's past was very intense and interesting to witness. Hugh Jackman did a spectacular performance.

I wanted to see more of Ryan Reynolds though. He played quite a short role here, but it was nice to see him act a more serious role (although his character kinda cracked me up).

Gambit was alright. I mean I love Gambit in the old series, but for some reason I wasn't too pleased with the actor. He did pretty good but it wasn't what I was expecting, I guess. Oh! One thing I must mention that I found so hilarious...when he first made an appearance, he had this little twitchy mustache going on, right. And then less than five minutes later he reappears and the tiny mustache was gone. xD Look for it in the movie! You'll know what I'm talking about. I found that so damn hilarious I started freakin' out in the theater and started talking, asking everyone, "Hey did you see that?! His mustache's gone! Where'd it go? Am I the only one who noticed?" Yeah normally I don't talk in the middle of the movie, but damn, that mustache thing had me going.

Anyway, the movie's fantastic and pretty sad. Definitely will buy this DVD when it comes out.

I've got a few questions about this movie. I haven't seen it yet so I'll be cautious what I read, but I've wanted to know for a while.

Is Dominic Monaghan still in the movie as Beak/Barnell Bohusk?
If so, does he actually look birdy-like or is it more in his human appearance?

Is Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson / Deadpool completely serious? Or is there comedy added to it as well?
I know Deadpool as a really crazy character with a messed up scarred face who knows he is in a comic, and comments on the issue etc, and nobody understands him. I know this film is set before Deadpool became messed up, and while he is just a mercenary and not scarred, but I was wondering the extent of the humour of Wade Wilson they kept in?

I love this movie, Wolverine is my favourite Marvel character and when Hugh Jackman first played him I was in Heaven lol. So when I heard about Origins, I was very excited.

Now there are only few problems I had with the movie, think me petty if you will. First one sounds dumb, but I dilsike violence towards old and young people. Im refering to when
the old couple were killed by Agent Zero.
You probably think Im dumb getting upset over that, but thats the way I am.

Also the fact that
Deadpool was only Deadpool for like 5 miuntes! His swords do not come out of his freaking arms!!! Never in any of the comics!!! I was so pissed, as was my fella and his mates, when he suddnely became Weapon XI. NO, NO, NO!!! Bad writer. *slaps*

Im not saying Im a die hard fan of Deadpool, but Ive learnt enough to know that he wasnt himself in the film. Only when he wouldnt shut up as Wade Wilson, THATS how Deadpool is, never shuts up, talks crap, etc. Not this combined mutant power weapon crap they created.

And finally,
I dont recall Wolverine and Sabertooth being brothers. Maybe I missed that episode or comic, but I dont remember that being brought up. But it doesnt mention anything in the previous films when Sabertooth and Wolverine fight. Same with the cartoons, I dont recall. Its like you have to forget the other films and comics were made when you watch these movies.

Apart from all of that, I enjoyed it lol. Gambit needed more movie time though, thats all ^_^

Mariella, I love that Logan and Gambit animation in your sig. It's funnnnnnny. xD

I was also disappointed with Deadpool, but loved how Ryan Reynolds portrayed Wade. I think he should've gotten more screen time, but that's just me. And you're not the only one about the old couple. I thought it was so cruel! Also think that Gambit should've had more time on the film, too.
He was so hot!

And Mits, I read what you said and now see it as well! I went to watch it today with some friends because I had a free afternoon.

I really, really hope that they do a sequel, especially since
we saw that scene when he was in the Japanese bar.

Roll on X-Men Origins: Magneto, I say!

It is awesome, found it on DA. Also the scene after the creds,
its "apprantly" meant to be Itsu whom has her son Daken with Wolverine.
It would be nice if thats whom she is because then it explains the random scene at the end.

And also Emma Frost is in Origins. She is the younger sister of Wolverines "lover", the girl made of diamonds. Thats interesting because doesnt she take over Charles Xaviers position as leader of the XMen?
