How many times do you say/hear the words "I love you" in a day? How many times did those words actually bear any meaning to them? Are there certain people who you wish would say that phrase more often?

Discuss.

*coughs*

Um...once or twice to my parents, but that's it. Though...eh. I guess it's comforting (perhaps?), and it helps establish or consolidate that bond between myself and them, but really, I think it's just words. Actions speak louder than words. I'll let my actions say that I love them instead of saying it out loud.

Bad choice, perhaps in a love-love relationship. :monster:

I hear it from my friends, boyfriend, and parents almost daily. I like to think that all three mean it. I say it them a lot. And I mean it :P

Logan (my little boy) tells me he loves me all the time, especially when he knows he's about to get scolded or he wants something xD Though sometimes he's really sweet and just comes up to me, snuggles and me says "I love you, Mommy!"
I also hear it from my husband too. Sometimes we'll both be on the other side of the house and he'll just bellow out "I LOVE YOU BABY!" or something like that LOL So I hear it rather often and it does make me feel good. I always say it back too. I want them to feel as good I do to hear them say "I love you"

I never hear it.

Don't get me wrong, I KNOW that my mom loves me, and I her. but I never hear the line.

As Warbourne said, "Actions speak louder then words"

I never really hear it much at all, though my mom and sister said it a lot just before I went off to college. I don't say it much myself, but that's just how I am.

I usually hear it at school from my deskmate. I don't know if she's joking or she's serious but I usually give her back a serious "I love you too!".^_^

I get it from my friend. Her and I always joke around. She goes, "oh, you know ya love me ,Jimmy". I reply, "Yes, I know, but in what way." I laugh, and she scowls, bu we then lol it of.

Some people say it to me. Normally because I'm doing them a favour or I'm helping them with something, or I'm giving them a cigarette. Don't say it much myself.

Never, haha. I don't need to hear it from certain people (parents, relatives, etc) anyway as there's always love there by default.

I hear it all the time. Usually it goes something like "OMG I LUV IT!"

In a more serious verse:
"I love you, and I'm sorry for everything bad I've done."
I hear these words everyday from my older (24 year old) sister's boyfriend. She has a wird boyfriend.
Weird yet romantic. Soon they're gonna have a baby and I can't wait! ^_^

I think it's more how people use the words and the meaning used this way than the actual words themselves.

Sometimes you don't even need words to describe your feelings. Several people that I know that have met couldn't communicate. At their first date they just stared at each other. Others learn the whole lenguage just so that he/she can tell his/hers feelings.

Me and my friends tell each other that we love each other about a million times a day ^_^ And it does make me feel special lol, and I always mean it when I say it, unless someone does me a favour or says something genius and i'll say 'I love you!!!!'

I also tell my little brother that I love him a lot, but I don't say it to my parents...

I say it often and usually I mean it but sometimes I'll say it because someone said something hilarious/smart or did me a favor. I don't say it to my family so much because that's inferred.

I hear it all the time from my husband and daughter, then occasionally from my mom whenever I call her. Those three are the only ones that really ever say those words to me, and I know they all mean it. (And so do I).

I'll say it back, of course, although sometimes I always take the initiative to say the words. My daughter always say "I love you, Mommy" whenever she's about ready to fall asleep, or when she wakes up in the morning.

My husband and I will say the words to each other ALL THE TIME.

I don't hear it very often really. My best friend and I say it to each other and I actually hear it from her family more than I do my own.

I'm very close to my family though. We just don't really use the phrase a lot. I don't really find it all that necessary since they already know that I love them all. And I'm sure they feel the same way. xD

My parents say this often. It normally bears little meaning to me, but I suppose it comforts in a way... As for others... I normally only hear it from close female friends, like the sister of my ex-girlfriend and my friend, Taylor.

Personally, I wish Taylor would say it more often. I care rather deeply for her...

Pooo. I say these words every day. I tell my bf every day before he goes to work, and I give him a great big hug. He gets kind of annoyed sometimes, but I always think what it would be like if it was the last time I saw him; so in that sense, when I say it, I mean it. ^.^
