[06/03] Deus Ex: The Fall domain registered by Square Enix

Last week it was discovered that Square Enix had registered the domain for something called Deus Ex: Human Defiance, but it turned out to only be related to the upcoming Deus Ex film. Fortunately, an all new Deus Ex-related trademark has been discovered (thanks, Superannuation), and it suggests Square Enix is working on a project called Deus Ex: The Fall.
The publisher has currently registered domains DeusExTheFall.com , DeusExTheFall.net and DeusExTheFall.co.uk. Could this be a new Deus Ex game Eidos Montreal is working on? Or perhaps it's a reference to the upcoming enhanced edition of Human Revolution, although you'd think that would have a more recognisable title, like say, Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Special Edition. The Australian ratings board leak regarding that suggests it will bear the familiar Human Revolution moniker, too, so a new game is looking more likely.

This is really good news. I hope it ends up being a new game though the title doesn't overly sound like a full game. Assuming it is a new game, I wonder if it will bridge the gap between Human Revolution and the first game. Or if it'll be a true sequel. I'd imagine the former
 
I hope they remake and redo Invisible War because that game is pretty much unplayable in its current form.
 
I think The Fall sounds like a perfectly suitable title for a full game. The events of Human Revolution at its end and Deus Ex at its beginning pretty much necessitate that to be the theme of a game to fall in-between, which I'm pretty sure it will. Not only is it the logical direction for the developers to take, but it's what gamers want (at least as far as I've heard--I certainly am one of them). I don't know a single person who played and liked Deus Ex: HR that didn't want a sequel for Adam Jensen in particular.

Regardless, the team did a great job last time, so I trust them to do whatever they feel is best next.
 
I'm all for a new Deus Ex game. The first one is one of the greatest games I've ever seen. The second one looked pretty good as well. Anything that expands on the story is cool with me.

The name isn't too bad either. I dig it.
 
There was also a Human Defiance subtitle trademarked a few weeks ago so idk anything about that. I know they're making a movie as well.
 
If Square Enix intends on pushing this series, I may have to jump on the bandwagon and start playing ALL of the games; because I'm interested.

But watch this be a really bad spin-off game for mobile/portable consoles.
 
For some reason Deus Ex HR isnt for me. I just cant finish the game for some reason...I like it but somehow I wont continue playing. Im annoyed by the hacking and a lot of other things. I find the story boring.

Great characters though and great environments.

They said they're not going to focus on mobile games and shit anymore recently and Deus Ex isn't the kind of game to get something like that. The Fall honestly sounds like the name they'd give a book or graphic novel.
