List your top 6 favourite FF games in order

1) Final Fantasy V
2) Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
3) Final Fantasy XII
4) Final Fantasy VII
5) Final Fantasy II
6) Final Fantasy Tactics

I have to say V is my favourite because of its good story, interesting characters and kick ass job system!

Crisis Core is second because it also had sweet characters, but mainly because it was a good action RPG as opposed to turn raking stuff the rest of FF game shave :D

XII is next because I FRIGGIN LOVE THE STORY!
I'm always a fan of games with an oppressive empire, and underground rebels n such, and it had a weird battle system (I tun my gambits off)

VII is next because it had such a great story, and it had a awesome cast of characters! plus it was a break away from the typical FF games in the past, and really improved the game sereies

II is next because it had a cool level up system, were your training is what makes your characters and nothing is predetermined. plus another Empire v Rebel game XD

and lastly is Tactics because it showed that the FF series can expand in to the Tactical-RPG world really nicely

My favorites-

1) Final Fantasy VII
2) Final Fantasy IX
3) Final Fantasy X
4) Final Fantasy VIII
5) Final Fantasy XII
6) Crisis Core- Final Fantasy VII

Seven is my favorite, mainly because of the characters. That, coupled with it's amazing storyline, give it the top spot in my book.

Nine was my second favorite, again because of the characters. This is the first FF game I've played where I actually liked every single one in the game, even Quina xD The storyline was engrossing and the game was just fun to play, plain and simple. It had great comic relief as well.

Ten gets the third spot, mainly because I didn't like the main character. Tidus did have his moments here and there, but for the most part I didn't like playing as him. That said, the game had a good storyline and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it just honestly doesn't have the magic that VII and IX do.

Eight was an awesome game, but I enjoyed the ones listed above a whole lot more. As much as I love Squall and Rinoa, there were times when I didn't like watching their love/hate relationship develop.

Twelve had the worst storyline out of all the FF games by far, but the gameplay made up for that somewhat. I loved completing the hunts and traveling around the vivid world of Ivalice. The characters were quite a letdown though :/

As for Crisis Core, I thought it was a really great game. I had fun unraveling the truth about Zack's past because so little was known about him in the original game, besides the fact that Cloud thought Zack's memories were his own. I was happy to finally understand more about Zack's relationship with Aerith, and they are now one of my favorite FF couples ^^

Lol, actually all the FF games that I've played would make the list since I've played exactly six of them, but I'll go ahead and rank them in order.

1) FFX: Awesome characters with a beautifully constructed story and addictive gameplay. My first FF, btw. I love how the story is so different yet flows and feels right. The characters were excellently developed, and this is one of the few games where random battles weren't so annoying.

2) FFXII: Great characters, great story and yet again insanely addictive gameplay. This game is one of the few instances where FF deviated from the usual metaphysical story and focused more on a political intrigue while retaining the elements that make it a fantasy. Characters were endearing too and the villain is one of the most interesting in the series. In terms of gameplay they tried something new and they pulled it off quite well.

3) FFVII: I loved how the story focused on an evil corporation and not on an evil empire. This is truly an iconic FF. The materia system was fun, too.

4) FFVI: For such an early game the story was quite good. It had a memorable villain and great gameplay.

5) FFIX: A good game. The story wasn't as strong as the others but still quite good. Liked the characters and gameplay.

6) FFVIII. I didn't like the story in this game as much. Not to say it's bad but it just didn't do it for me. The characters weren't as developed as others and the villian was even worse in that respect. I liked the gameplay, though junctioning and drawing could be tedious.

See I did really like IX, but it seemed to childish, I mean it was fun no doubt!

1.FFVI
2.FFIV (Original and DS)
3.FFIX
4.FFVII
5.FFVII Crisis Core
6.FFXII

Let's not let this thread go into simple lists guys and elaborate on WHY you like these games a little ^^

ok then heres my list:

1. FFVI a right gem of a game for those that find it, an excellent story and one of the most interesting villians in the entire FF series :)

2. FFVII love it or hate it people just cannot deny, it had one hell of an epic story that will last on for many more years to come.

3. FFT now again this is a game of love and hate, I personally love it as I find the job system has finally reached its peak with this game and the battle system is extremely interesting and fun once you get into it.

4. FFXI I'm a big vivi fan and I think this game is amazing, despite the obvious failings of Zidane as a strong lead character, its still a thing of greatness.

5. FFVII, Crisis Core now Crisis Core, took what FFVII did and made it a lot better and more understandable, the only true spin-off game to actually be worthy of release!

6. FFV although the story wasnt entirely great, some of the characters had great stories of there own and gilgamesh is one of the coolest FF Villains ever!

1. FFXII
2. FFVIII/FFVI
3. FFX
4. FFTA
5. FFIV
6. N/A

FFXII - What I wanted in an FF game after so long WAS this - brand new battle system, top notch voice acting (FFX was decent don't get me wrong), great exploration, awesome games - I got everything I wanted AND much more.

FFVIII - Save for the main cast, everything about this was top notch. Loved the story, and how you could use GF's.

FFVI - Great story, gameplay, characters - wonderful classic.

FFX - The story rather epic, though seemingly dragged at parts. Sphere Grid was alright, but not wonderful. Soundtrack, Blitzball, battling etc, where rather beautiful.

FFTA - Debating whether or not to put this above FFX. This had so much diversity, and was so fun to play with. You had so many classes to get, and so many equipment items to use!

FFIV - The GBA version. I refuse to play DS one. Loving the extra bits, and I like how the battle system can be challenging at times with enemies. Likeable story, Likeable characters.

Can't think of one for VI, kinda need to rethink my list in general >.o

1 FFX - I LOVE the characters, the setting, the storyline everything. This is one the only FF game that got me emotional.

2 FFIX - same reasons as above, and also i liked the classic feel to the game as opposed to the more modern setting.

3 - FFVII - It was my first FF game and it blew me away, top notch story, graphics(at the time) and great sidequests.

4 - FFVIII - I really liked the battle system, tho it was rather easy. And the side story with laguna was great. I liked the idea of bein a merc in an academy, that was fun.

5 - FFXIII - hated it the first time around, but the second time i got really into it. Love the battle system, graphics and the voice acting was superb. The monster hunting sidequest was great aswell.

6 - FFIV - Definately my favourite out of the 2d generation games. The storyline was really quite intricate for such an old game. There were some brilliant one-liners also included. And there was a load of characters you play as throughout the game.

My top 6 are:

1. Final Fantasy IV
This was my very first Final Fantasy game when it was on the SNES. That is how I discovered this great series. I just love the characters and storyline.

2. Final Fantasy VIII
What can I say? I am a softy for romance. Even though the story was all over the place, it was Squall & Rinoa's relationship that kept me interested with what was going to happen next. The graphics were amazing and the music was great too.

3. Final Fantasy VI
Another old school classic Final Fantasy RPG that I enjoy. What I liked about this game is how they gave each character a small storyline role in the game considering the amount of characters to chose from.

4. Final Fantasy X
I had no interest in a PS2 when it was popular but when I heard the release of this game, I went out a got a PS2 just to play this game. Since then, I have a huge collection of games to go with the system thanks to Final Fantasy X. One of the big improvements to the series was the voice acting and the graphic continued to amazed me more.

5. Final Fantasy Tactics
When I had gotten this game, I was a little skeptical of how this game was going to be. At first, I didn't care for the battle system too much because it seemed a bit difficult to handle at times but I gave it more time and I ended up enjoying the game.

6. Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
I actually enjoyed this game, going around shooting people. To me, it lets out any unresolved angry or stress I have in myself. Not only that, Steven Jay Blum did an amazing job with Vincent's voice.

1) FFX - loved the characters and the story. It was really well made and planned. The characters were unique and individual and the game had real emotional value. I really love the game.

2) FFXII - again with the characters and the story. Even though it was a bit like Star Wars, the story was well-told and well made. The characters were, again unique and individual, even though some were annoying. They were really easy to become attached to.

3) FFVII - come on, it's FF7, enough said. Love and hate the death scene.

4) FFIV (GBA) - (I'm not sure abot the new version.) - this was just a classic, I enjoyed the story and, even though it got boring in places, I have to say, for a GBA, it was exceptional. Loved the characters too, Cecil and Kain are just cool!

5) FFVIII - I enjoyed the story. Loving the characters.

6) FFIX - games with those kind of funny looking people etc. don't usually appeal to me. Although I hold the artwork against it, I have to say that it was still good. I like the whole package.

2)FFVII
3)FFCC
4)FFVIII
5)FFX
6)FFXII

FFIX-I loved the story, the gameplay and the characters. The story was a play which I liked. Playing it made me feel comfortable in the inns and the shops. The characters each had a good part in the story and my favourite character is Vivi.

FFVII-This was a great game. Midgar was one of my favourite things about it. The golden saucer was very fun and something I always did when I played the game. There are lots of secrets which are fun trying to do. My favourite character is Vincent.

FFCC-I only got this game a few months ago and it's already one of my favourites. I was really happy to be able to play with Zack because he is my favourite character in that game. It was really fun messing around in Midgar it was also fun to do the missions and obtain rare items.

FFVIII-I really liked this game because the story, the junction system and playing cards. The start was one of my favourite parts because it's nice and sunny and it's like being in school or college. Only in two FF games you are able to play cards and it's very fun collecting the cards.

FFX-This was a good game but when you are going through the game you have to stick with the story. The new summons were good and fighting the dark aeons was fun. My favourite character was Kimhari.

FFXII-The new battle system was very good because you could escape from any battle very easily. It was good that you could use any weapon with anyone. My favourite character is Balthier.

1.FFIX: i like this the most coz the characters are amazing and i like the story line ALOT i like the abilities the ROCK too.

Top 6? Hmmmm; random number.

1. FFX
2. FFIX
3. FFVII
4. FFXII
5. FFV
6. FFVI

The first 3 all really portray the order I played my first 3 FF games ever. The first one I ever completed (FFX) turned out to be my most memorable/enjoyable/favorite, and the same with following up with 9 and 7.

FFV doesn't get as much publicity or acclaim as it should since it is an older title and less palyed overall, but it turns out to be one of my favorites overall.

VII

IV

VI

Crisis Core

VIII

X

I loved the characters in these, especially the villains of the first three. Their plots are very well done in my opinion and I never get tired of re playing these titles.

6- Final Fantasy III

Cute. Fun to play. Love the music and onion knights rock !

5-Final Fantasy X
X had a rather refeshing and new leveling up system, and a rather touching yet heartbreaking storyline. Loved controling the Aeons and updated graphics.

4-Final Fantasy VI

Used to dislike this game, untill realised how awesome it really was. Had to mature a little bit to understand the characters and the storyline, but once that was understood, the game was rather deep and addictive.

3- Final Fantasy IX

Love the retro feel of this game, the cute and unique characters like Zidane and Garnet. The awesome music, and the bittersweet storyline.

2-Final Fantasy IV

Don't know why, but just really love this game. Think can relate to Cecil's persona that's problery why. Also like the storyline and music.

1- Final Fantasy VII

Just have too many great memories with this game. Played it so many times, and it's just a rather special game. Cloud is awesome too.

Top 6 :wacky:
1. Final Fantasy Tactics
Best game I have ever played. Its my favourite, mainly because the story is epic, the characters own, and the battle system is my favourite. Absoultly my favourite job system of the whole series.

2. Final Fantasy X
Great cast of characters and an amazing storyline and awesome graphics for the PS2.

3. Final Fantasy VII
Great cast of characters and an amazing storyline.

4. Final Fantasy IV
Awesome Characters

5. Final Fantasy IX
Good cast of characters and good storyline.

6. Final Fantasy I
Good storyline, liked the job system.

6) X
5) V
4) VI
3) XII
2) Crisis Core
1) VII

I liked playing X ( still haven't beaten it) for the storyline & the world it is presented in. I loved going to & seeing all the new places it offered. The only 2 things that held it back from being higher on my list was the ball game & that you had to keep switching out your characters in a battle to get them all exp points.

I really liked V for its story & battle system

VI was great as it was the set up of a new type of world that led us into VII & VIII. It also really did a great job of keeping the quests at the forefront & you didn't get lost in leveling/battles like some of the others. It also had a good tweak on the battle system.

XII is fantastic for its graphics, storyline, characters & world enviorment. Need I say more? The only thing I didn't care for was the series moving away from turn based battle system as to me that is what seperates true rpgs from action adventures.

Crisis Core was great for its graphics, great storyline & that we get transported back to Midgar & get to continue playing VII. Its only strike is the random powerup system.

VII is by far my favorite rpg of all times. Awesome world, great characters you can relate too, materia/battle system, very original storyline. The only thing I am not crazy about is their "block" hands. lol. The fact that it is the only FF game to have follow up games/movies speaks for itself on its timeless love & popularity making it the best of the best.

  1. IX
  2. VII
  3. VI
  4. X
  5. XII
  6. V
IX was just awesome all around, VII will always be high on the list because regardless of flaws it was one of the first games I ever played, VI because despite a few lame characters and a dull second half it's a great game, X is too linear but has a great plot and combat system, XII has a great plot, great gameplay, and mediocre characters, and V is fun.
