Saix... I'm sorry man, but little icons cannot bother people with that said disease that badly. If it does, they
A. Should be having seizures from popup ads, or ads in general
B. Should not be playing video games, and therefore, should not be on a site devoted to a video game series that has LOTS of bright lights and flashes
C. Should not be on the internet for fear of flash animations or pop-up ads

It's irrational. People are whiny over a little icon because it hurts their eyes. They can cry about it elsewhere instead of bringing up a disease that has no place with electronics to try to combat what I do.

Excuse me for being a realist.

Kaos, this is likely one of few times I'm actually going to side with someone else.

But if you're saying that an epileptic person can live with a flashing seizure-inducing image on their screen, then you can live without posting the image.

So you tell me that you're seriously questioning the judgment of the staff. Why are you questioning them about a health issue? Final Fantasy doesn't exactly have flashing images that go on for ten minutes or so (at least last I checked they didn't).

There are other members besides LA that complained about the image making them dizzy. Isn't that proof enough that you shouldn't be posting that image?
 
Ok, any more talk about this should be taken to PM, I don't want to see any more talk about the image or this issue on the forum.
 
All you've been asked to do is not post a type of image. It's not a big deal at all.

It's been taken too seriously, and too far. Just let it drop now. This isn't a request either.
 
I tried to explain this to him yesterday. But I guess it did not get through. Epilepsy is a condition that can be set off by a certain type of flashing light. In fact, in the EEG, they will flash a strobe light as a test, to see how the patient will react. As to test to see if the person has the problem.

It is a flashing stobe light that sets seizures off. Which that image emulates.
 
I just thought he needed a more specific explanation as to why the animation is bad. That is all I have to say on it.
