in old FF games, how you can take their random cure potions and stuff and they never seem to care or even notice that you're blatantly robbing them blind, well I was thinking of making a mod to FF 6 where when you opened one of those chests a town guard would come through the door and be like

and then they'd take your gil

also you can sleep on any old patch of dirt, not just inns, and tell the game to advance time manually

Yeah resting wherever would be fun kinda like Infinite Undiscovery, when you open the menu they sit around a kind of pseudo camp fire type of thing?

i mean in Mystic Quest the game doesn't even pretend that you're "sleeping" at an inn, the random NPCs don't even finish their walk animations before you're fully healed again

so why can't you just do this everywhere, or do these inns just have magical beds

In FFIV, if you slept in Cecil's room in Baron Castle, you could have your whole party (5 people) sharing one tiny single bed
