This is the discussion thread for this year's X Factor. With this series being one of the most controversial yet, including the shock exit of Gamu at the Judges' Houses stage and a punch thrown at the auditions, who do you think is going to win this year?

The contestants for Simon Cowell are the groups: 1Direction, Bel Ami and FYD. Representing Louis Walsh are the Over 28's: Mary Byrne, John Adeleye and Storm Lee. Cheryl Cole mentors the girls, having Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson under her wing. Finally, Dannii Minogue has the boys with Aiden Grimshaw, Matt Cardle and Nicolo Festa.

All of these acts are vying for a £1 million recording contract. Who wins?

Well, obviously the public decides. :monster:

Several things:

1) Pixie Lott should be a judge from now on because a) I love her and b) she brightens up that panel like nobody else :(

2) Gamu has no personality and isn't actually as good a singer as Katie: stop the death threats to Cheryl Cole, get a grip, if she's that good (and gets to stay in the country) then she'll be scouted out pretty soon. Shut up and deal with disappointment like we do every year, and forget about it the following week.

3) Cher Lloyd or Mary Byrne to win. :dave:
 
I made last year's, so I had to do the honours again. :wacky:

I'm fed up of the Gamu controversy as well. People need to get lives, this is a game at the end of the day. Winner wins a recording contract and losers may get something, although this isn't always guaranteed.

I like Cher as well, but the hype around her is making me start to dislike her. I'm going to predict Katie and Storm in the bottom two tonight. :wacky:
 
I thought Nicole Scherzinger was the best guest judge by far, she was so fun and involved, but also had some classic lines.

I'm not fussed on Gamu not being in the top 12, since I think there were others in the top 8 in that category who sang better than her (Particularly TreyC
rumour has it she's Cheryl's Wild Card and will be singing Beyoncé's Sweet Dreams tonight)
but, it gets the show publicity.

At the moment, I'm predicting a Matt/Rebecca/One Direction top three. A guy is always in the final 3, and I think Matt is the strongest in Dannii's category. Rebecca, I think, has a fantastic voice, and she's been the only girl to escape the backlash that Cheryl/Katie/Cher have received so far.

As for One Direction, they'll have the twitter / teenage girl vote in the bag, a la Eoghan.
 
In regards to the wild card thing...not sure how strong this evidence is, but my friend sat next to Simon and Cheryl on a train that was heading to Tillicoutry, where Gamu's from - either for a date or to see Gamu!

Afraid it's not true. The wildcards are in fact
Diva Fever, TreyC, Paije and Wagner.

Wagner's performance made me laugh far more than it should have done. xD

Bit disappointed with how quickly they revealed the Wild Cards though, it was a bit of an anti-climax. Some of the acts have been totally shocking so far. It's dragging more than usual with 16 acts though. :ness:
 
I don't really think cher will win or even has a chance to be honest.........I know you guys like her but I really don't especially her rapping I'm saying this as a rap junkie here..........

I think this year it may be close........but so far NONE of the acts have been outstanding yet...........

oh yeah and one person I hate:STORM LEE!! :rage:

I enjoyed the performances of Mary, TreyC, Wagner, Aiden and Matt. It's probably hard to tell who's going to win at this point, but I'd definitely place my money on Matt after tonight. His rendition of When Love Takes Over was fantastic and so unexpected it blew me away.
 
Wagner and Belle Amie = gone

Cher, Mary and Tracy were the best

Storm Lee annoys the fuck out of me - stop trying to be so eccentric (also fuck off, why is it every English program has one single scottish wanker on it?). It annoys me more that he's a good singer

Katie did well tonight

Gamu would never have won

Everyone else is average
 
Cher wasn't that good imo, she seems very limited. She had a great audition but she seems to have gone downhill from there. Anything that she's uncomfortable with I think she'll struggle massively... and she can't rap for shit. :wacky:

I preferred Aiden over Matt as well. Matt has a more powerful voice but Aiden has a better voice and I think he had to do a harder song as well. :dave:
 
So FYD and Nicolo have gone.

Personally, I wanted Katie to go. When she sang for survival, it felt like she was screeching all the way through it. And I'm particularly shocked about Nicolo, I thought he did a great performance last night. Not too surprised about FYD since it's almost compulsory that a group goes in the first week.

Katie did much better tonight. Wagner or Diva Fever should have left as well (they'll never win, just get them out now and let the real competition get underway).

Still not seeing the Matt or Aiden love, they bore me quite a bit.

Glad Cher and Mary are through (why wouldn't they be!?), I'd love it if they were the final two. :wacky:
 
I didn't catch all last nights. I can't say I was all that impressed with it tbh

that paionter and decorator chappy is ace though and he's hot. Also, Storm is briklliant :wacky:

I liked Niciolo too, but I thought he was pretty rubbish last night

I fuckign HATE Xfactor as well, fuyck knows why am watchin it this year
 
Tonights performances were better than last week's I think. I'm quite a fan of Cher, kind of didn't like her song last week, liked this weeks one though, she got some of her vocal talent in there. Matt is growing on me too, I liked his song tonight.
 
Most of the acts did nothing for me again. I love storms voice, but his performance did nothing for me, id love to hear him bash out some U2. Trayce or whatever the fuck shes called does nothing for me either, yeah she can sing, but her performance just bored me, theres nothing relaly different or unique about her. One of my faaaaves of the night was that Adeleye chap, cant remember his name either

The groups are doing absolutely shit all for me

Still loooovvvvve Katie, her voice is ace. I cant decide what to make of Cher, I like her voice, but I really didnt think much of her performance either

Still really like that guy that works in the cinema... er Paije! I love him

Still hate that young lad. Same as that Trayce, he just does nothiiiiiiing for me.

I want to hump the painter and decorator. He's ace :rage:

The performances were better than last week. Even though I was only half awake watching it at 1 in the morning, there were many that disappointed me this time around. Aiden, for instance, was brilliant last week and was shit this week. Matt was perfect again.

The groups were all shit. Why the hell One Direction see Kelly Clarkson as a hero is beyond me. In fact, it's hard for me to predict who will go this week. It looks so open.

Results tonight and I really want Katie to go. She's so full of herself. :rage:
 
I reallly dont think anything of that aiden at all.

WHY Im watching it at all is beyond me tbh, I couldnt give 2 shits about any of them reallly. but still, painter and decorator needs humpimg. he could sing to me all day long

Shame about Diva Fever, though. They made me cringe at first, but I grew to love them. Wanted Katie to go, but they just HAD to announce her to go first. Glad Bel Amie stayed in, they've got potential.
