Dirge of Cerberus wouldn't this be cool

I suppose it would but so would more levels, more weapons, more scenes of the other characters, almost any thing could of made it cooler.

There's so many things that would Dirge of Cerberus better and cooler. This is not one of them.
I think it needed to be more of a challenge in general.

If SE had just decided to put more effort and time into the actual gameplay, and not just gone, "IT'S FF, AND IT HAS TO DO WITH VII!!1 LETS NOT DO SHIT AND RAKE IN THE DOUGH!!1 And just to piss off out english speaking fans, lets include a useless double jump! YEAH! WE RULE!!1"

Sorry.

Seconded.

FFVII: DoC could have been such a good game if SE had put a bit more effort into it.

I agree with Pooley here, sparring with Cloud an Co. would NOT have made this game any better, that just sounds like a desperate bid to make the game SOUND better. Fighting Cloud would be the same as fighting any other person on the game. It's just too linear.

Obtaining his Turks costume would've made things better for me. Not to mention the fact his combo is far better (even if only for the visual factor).

Would sparring with Cloud etc make it better? Well it would've been interesting, and I'd go back and play it for that reason... but I'd not say it'd be a notable improvement to the game. Just an interesting inclusion. However Cloud has far too much coverage as it is, so I say fuck 'im.

^Seconded.

I'm glad Cloud didn't get much screen time in this game because afterall, it's Vincent's story.

I agree with Dark Remmnant. In the game you don't see those "main" characters often, but if you bring those people in Vincent's party everything would be ruined. See, in this game Vincent is the main character, this is his story. If you bring Cloud along he would be the center of attention again. In my opinion, bringing other characters along wouldn't be the best idea. Cloud and others don't want to interfere with Vincent's past anyway, if it means saving the world than yes. I suppose you remeber when they all came along to fight while Vincent was looking for Wiss? That's all the help Vince needs.

DoC really bombed. I thought it would have been so much batter but it turned out pretty horrible.. i beat the whole game tho ;)

I would liked to have seen a little more of Red XIII in the game, maybe swop that crappy Cait Sith level for a Red XIII one.

I think it WOULD be cool, but there are other things I would rather have, like, maybe a level where you team up with Barret and tank your way through. Unlocking Vincent in his Turks outfit, like someone said before would be cool, getting the roll and the longer ground combo. Or even unlocking all of Vincents other limit breaks, like Hellmasker, or Chaos? (Even though Chaos is part of the story, whatever...)

I would also have liked to have seen more limits done in the way Galian Beast was. And some alliance levels with some other minor characters would have been nice, Barret has been severely underused as has Red XIII. I thought there would have been some of Yuffie actually fighting alongside Vincent but it never happened. But then again, I suppose having other characters interacting like that would have retracted from the whole "loner" aspect.

Meh, I agree that even things like this wouldn't necessarily save the game, they would have to improve a lot of other things. The movement, the weapon selection, the whining, everything almost. I say almost because there are aspects of the game that I liked very much, the story had potential and the Chaos section was really interesting, the music had some good moments too.

The music was pretty awesome, I mean, Redemption and Longing were awesome songs, but not used enough, y'know.

Totally agreed. Some musical parts were really interesting, I liked the intro theme a lot and the boss battle was Ok. But then some parts of it sucked really badly, like the WRO headquarters music. That was just embarrassing:O

They should have had more of that Gackt rock thing going on throughout the game, instead of waiting right until the end which most people didn't reach because they got bored of the game. Poor Gackt!
