A theory is his comical character might have inspired pity within the others, and so they allowed this. He's a hyper annoying little shit who's got the hots for his High Summoner cousin. That could just be the Al Bhed in him.
Buddy, our group's co-founder and Brother's best buddy ol' pal. As you can probably already tell, the game is a master at creative character naming. Buddy is a calm, chillaxed motherfucker who curiously likes to hang out in the engine room. Perhaps to smoke some weed? Let's be blunt.
Ah, Shinra, the boy genius - and what would Final Fantasy X-2 be without a second annoying, arrogant fucking tool in The Gullwings? He's the brains of the group, which wouldn't say a lot, but truly, he's quite smart. He invents things, has Jimmy Neutron posters plastered all over the walls in his bedroom back home in the deserts and he's got quite the ego. He won't admit he doesn't know something, but you'll know when you hear the line "I'm just a kid" which follows a long, awkward pause that took place before.
And last, but certainly not least, Barkeep. Can you guess what he is? That's right, he's the keeper of the bar located on the group's airship, the Celsius. Don't party it up too much, because you don't actually get to booze up. He items that prove useful in battle, and that's about it. No getting drunk here, no matter how badly you wished you were.
