When White Knight Chronicles II Arrives, The Online World Will Already Have Players
D3 Publisher have White Knight Chronicles II slated for release on August 2nd in North America. The PlayStation 3 sequel includes a revised version of White Knight Chronicles and White Knight Chronicles II on the same disc. Yes, it’s possible in the English version to skip straight to part II.
Level-5 made online play a key part of the White Knight Chronicles games and when White Knight Chronicles II arrives the game will launch with a community. White Knight Chronicles II is already available in Europe and the North American version connects to the same servers. So, you can get started by playing with friendly PAL gamers, if you like.
While D3 Publisher licensed White Knight Chronicles II from Sony, they currently have no plans to release the PSP prequel, White Knight Chronicles Origins.

Update#1
White Knight Chronicles 2 ( a.k.a White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness) will release in little over a month in Japan.
So far it’s been confirmed that fans of the PS3 exclusive mmorpg can expect to see 6 player online parties, up from the limit of just 4 in the first game. Also new in the sequel is the ability to duel wield weapons and your avatar’s equipment, georama and dlc bought in the first game will carry over into the sequel but your level will be reset to 35. Level 5 also noted that they plan to change how Guild Points are accumulated.
More importantly your avatar in the sequel will be granted with his/her own customizable knight which players will be able to use during the 6 player online quests. However to prevent every one from over powering a hapless troll, some quests will have a limit on how many players can transform during a quest. The game’s chat interface is also reported to undergo some improvements in the sequel as well.
This news comes from the latest issue of Famitsu, which was translated by andriasang.
