When White Knight Chronicles II Arrives, The Online World Will Already Have Players

D3 Publisher have White Knight Chronicles II slated for release on August 2nd in North America. The PlayStation 3 sequel includes a revised version of White Knight Chronicles and White Knight Chronicles II on the same disc. Yes, it’s possible in the English version to skip straight to part II.

Level-5 made online play a key part of the White Knight Chronicles games and when White Knight Chronicles II arrives the game will launch with a community. White Knight Chronicles II is already available in Europe and the North American version connects to the same servers. So, you can get started by playing with friendly PAL gamers, if you like.

While D3 Publisher licensed White Knight Chronicles II from Sony, they currently have no plans to release the PSP prequel, White Knight Chronicles Origins.

Update#1

White Knight Chronicles 2 ( a.k.a White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness) will release in little over a month in Japan.

So far it’s been confirmed that fans of the PS3 exclusive mmorpg can expect to see 6 player online parties, up from the limit of just 4 in the first game. Also new in the sequel is the ability to duel wield weapons and your avatar’s equipment, georama and dlc bought in the first game will carry over into the sequel but your level will be reset to 35. Level 5 also noted that they plan to change how Guild Points are accumulated.

More importantly your avatar in the sequel will be granted with his/her own customizable knight which players will be able to use during the 6 player online quests. However to prevent every one from over powering a hapless troll, some quests will have a limit on how many players can transform during a quest. The game’s chat interface is also reported to undergo some improvements in the sequel as well.

While eager fans of Level-5′s mmorpg in North America have to wait until August 2nd to return to the world of White Knight Chronicles, GameStop has made the wait a bit more forgiving. Pre-order White Knight Chronicles II from the retailer and you’ll receive the following in game bonus items:
  • White Knight’s Sword
  • White Knight’s Shield
  • White Knight’s Helm
It’s unclear whether or not the three piece set of White Knight equipment will add any extra stats to your Knight or if the equipment is solely just for cosmetic purposes.

I Have the game as we speak so i can give some details:
Might contain spoilers beware!!

Online gameplay:
1. there can be up to 16 people in one room.
2. group missions only have 4 people per mission
3. using a knight is only available at high gr missions heard it was at GR16 (knight can only be unlocked once you defeated it in a mission later in part 2 and can be costumized/change color/etc)

the game overall has become much much harder than part 1

thats all i can think about right now feel free to ask questions if needed
Goodday

To add on to that...

The 6 man quests I think only become available from GR16 onwards
The opening song from WKC1 has a vocal version now instead of instrumental
AC reliant abilities mostly rely on MP instead now, making them more user friendly
The games come with Tutorials now
There is a new 'weakness' system which when used on monsters, orange numbers indicate a weakness for both magic and melee attacks
The level cap is now 80 instead of 50
Due to the higher level cap, it is now possible to (with the required rebirths) master up to 5 skills, depending which you focus on (from what I hear, I can't confirm yet)
The requirements to bind items are easier to reach now
It is easier to increase Guild Rank, from what I hear GR9 from WKC1 is like GR14 in WKC2
Even if you play the remastered WKC1, you can connect with a player on the WKC2 game
Having the Platinum Trophy for WKC1 allows you to gain a Platinum Crown/Tiara depending on Avatar Gender if you carry over data to WKC2
When you carry over data it will send over all your equipment, items and story character abilities, your Avatar (I believe) gets his skills reset so you can put them all back again

And that's all I remember off hand :mokken:

Bought the game a few weeks ago. ($20 for both games combined, that's a sweet deal). I'm actually enjoying it. Still on the first game though, but I reckon I'll be done with it next week. I haven't really tried Georama or the online gameplay yet. Binding weapons/armors get harder every time, it's kinda insane.

Question. When you transfer your avatar and game date to the second game, do you get a chance to edit your avatar's appearance at all? I wanna change mine without having to pay.

Yeah, you do get to remake them. Can reallocate their skill points as well. ;) It's a one time deal, though, so make good use of it.
