Which should I replay?

So I'm thinking of replaying a Final Fantasy game but I'm having trouble choosing which one. I don't want to replay X because the remaster is coming (hopefully) soon. So that leaves me with the choice of VII to XIII-2. Right now I'm thinking it's probably going to be VIII or XII. So if it were up to you which would you replay and why?

VIII because the I loved the story and gameplay. I enjoyed Final Fantasy XII, but it did not have an impact on me. The world was beautiful, the gameplay was different, and some of the characters were slightly interesting, but Final Fantasy VIII had a beautiful story with a charming cast of characters and memorable moments. I think the music is slightly better, too!

I'll agree with 8. It's far and away better than 12...but that may just be my opinion . Still, 9 is always gonna be what I recommend you replay if we're not only choosing between 8 and 12

My opinion is telling me... Go for either VIII or IX.


Two of the better choices in the series. XII isn't as good as those two, to me.


Never really liked the characters in XII

Or VIII, on that note... But Zell acts so retarded, it's hard not to be amused for a bit.

I say VIII as well one of the better FF games as far as I am concerned and in my top three. So much better then XII, while XII did have good ideas they were just so badly implemented, XII was just year horrible battle system with how gambits were used, bad summons, no real focus on characters. Just bad mechanics with how they were used.
